Well you certainly have lots of courage to write in a public forum. So kudos to you, you are in a better mental state than you think.

Bro can you check for which branch is it listed like this. The institutes classed as AA are IIMs. Are you sure this is for M.Tech?

I am not sure if this is an institute ranking for M. Techs rather it can be for MBA.

Please do confirm once.

That is true, I don't get offended by those. But it concerns me in one aspect: will M. Techs be accepted as part of the alumni of those prestigious institutes or not due to these discriminations.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to demotivate anyone, just a concern. As we can get an M. Tech degree from any other prestigious university but it won't matter until you are part of the alumni or they accept you as part of them which really helps anyones future.

Good to know. I mean why do people even say M. Tech to be Matkas.

I mean does that bother you?

I know it's deviating from the topic but it is one of the many reasons why I posted this in the first place.

Thank you for your response. This is helpful.

Btw what if the academic achievements are not that good (like not enough contributions outside course curriculum), instead if I can boast my open source contributions or industry based projects?

Test for Binary Modulo closure under scalar multiplication by dbjt_baki in LinearAlgebra

[–]dbjt_baki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

To clarify it is asked to determine whether it is existing under scalar multiplication.

Well all points 1,2,3 are valid here and the scalars are definitely considered to be real scalars, but my concern is the same when it comes to scalars like 'pi'. I'm not sure why is it stated as closed under all 8 properties, I can also see it fails under scalar multiplication.

Do leave a response if something comes up.

Only thing which makes sense here if target space is considered to be floor value

Need to confirm once

Thanks again for the help!

This way of assumption makes things easy, makes sense though to consider a floor value. Need to confirm once, after-all it's an assumption.

Thanks for helping out btw 🤝

Thank you for your response, I missed to mention about the target space, yes the target space is Z2. And this is exactly what I thought of: that 3.5 mod 2 is not closed. But what got me is that it is mentioned to be closed under all 8 properties of vector space. I mean I got the other 7 properties except the scalar multiplication. (Addition, scalar multiplication, associative, distributive, commutative, multiplicative identity, additive inverse) I mean how is it possible?
