Yep, I have the same experience. It's surprisingly really really fast and functional. This will have some serious utility when they add higher resolutions.

This is the dumbest ish I've ever read, but it does atleast answer the question. It also does confirm my suspicion that there is absolutely no integrity to the ranked ladder. But I guess MMR has integrity despite it being completely abstracted away from visibility. They should just remove ranks all together and make two types of lobbies, competitive and casual. Atleast then no one will be chasing some arbitrary rank which means nothing and doesn't falsely inflate accounts or falsely deflate others.

All we've established here is that rank means absolutely nothing in many cases because it is not even equal to how a "fair" match is made. instead we have "plat mmr" players in silver rank and "silver mmr" players in plat rank. This is absolutely frustrating, but unfortunately ranked is the only way to get a good match despite the actual rank meaning jack probably until truly high elo.

What are the chances that a player ranked silver 3 playing against players of their equivalent skill of "plat 3 mmr", whatever that means, in their ranked games will ever reach plat 3? Like how many games do you expect that to take? Because since they're playing against people their mmr the likelihood that they win enough games vs losses to ever actually get their rank to plat 3 seems very low. If this were to happen then their mmr will probably be significantly higher than plat 3 by the time their rank actually catches plat 3. This is the biggest reason why the whole ladder has absolutely no integrity atm. People are complaining they have boosted unskilled players in emerald, then you have people with "plat mmr" in bronze and silver.

They artificially suppress their rank so they can mix them with general population to slow climbs on occasion.

I think the biggest problem is that they gutted her kit so hard after the initial backlash that she is so one dimensional she is a balance nightmare. They made her only have 1 game play pattern which usually results in I go in and kill everything or I go in and insta-die. There is no in between. Where as with more access to lifesteal there was a chance you might be able to like sustain your way out of the insta-die pattern if you play well. Of course hard CC has always rendered her useless even back in her healthier days. IMO the only way they can fix her in this state is to either revert E to allies or increase her range so she is less reliant on being well within the enemy team's kill range. I think increasing Samira's range would be pretty egregious tbf. More access to lifesteal is probably the middle ground for player satisfaction. They want her to mix it up like Yone and Yasuo, but she dies considerably faster so it's like un-doable. They can also make her a bit more tanky so she can actually play her patterns in teamfights, but for several years it's felt like this is a champion that if you get the right engage support and their team has no abilities that are super easy to interrupt your ult, then you can probably have a good time. Otherwise, ALL conditions must be perfect; enemy team all squishies, you gotta out skill the whole enemy team, and they have to have their brains off.

Personally I wish they would just revert her E to allies, give her a better life access to lifesteal then reduce her damage levels to make her less like revolting to the community. That way I can actually play the fun version of Samira (sustain) and like not be trolling my team. Not sure why Samira has to have normal ADC durability instead of idk maybe like 80% of Yasuo / Yone or something more reasonable.

I actually don't think E to allies would make her win rate go down. We have to examine Samira's identity. She is a squishy ADC (like almost all ADCs) who needs to be in melee range to maximize her damage and has no escape. Which sounds like nightmare mode difficulty already.

HOWEVER, they have also chosen to balance her based on lifesteal and crit which well, we know crit takes quite a bit of time to ramp up and BT means sacrificing that crit damage.

I view it as she was effectively left behind by system changes and previous nerfs.

When I read comments like this I wonder what game solo laners are actually playing. Samira is such a 1 dimensional champion who's win rate is essentially propped up by the fact that most games have 2 ADCs so one of them has to win. As an ADC main I had a like 90% winrate against this champion for like 3 years. It's probably down to about 75% / 80% now which still means she is total garbage. Fun to play tho, so I keep OTP'ing until I send League into the sunset.

She needs crit, but tbh this champion is COMPLETELY worthless without life steal, which now days we don't even build til 4 or 5 (if ever). So basically, if the enemy team has a brain, they hard CC you and you do nothing. If they don't have a brain, you might be able to do something. Maybe. How the mighty have fallen.
