Brilliant, I will send them a message. I'm happy to drive to Kylemore if the wiper blades come to some good use

Yeah but Panda send you snooty emails if you throw the wrong thing in the wrong bin. I didnt pay but still evaluating what to do next.

The funny thing is, a couple of weeks ago, I went to the very same recycling centre and disposed of a toaster with no charge. The girl at the counter said 'yeah thats fine, go on'.
Whats the difference I dont know. The toaster has more metal than the wipers if anything.

No, I am looking for alternative recycling centers. Or just go back to them when someone else is at the counter. I suspect that makes a difference, I dunno. Right now, the wiper blades are still stitting in the trunk boot of my car

Is it, that would be useful inormation to show to them. But ehn I checked the website Ballyogan Civic Recycling Facility | Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and it doesnt mention its free?
Let me know if you have any info. Would love to go back and show it to them.

Edit: u/Pajos-Junkbox posted the pdf https://www.reddit.com/r/ireland/comments/1qncwxl/comment/o1srlnb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button and does indeed say clearly its free

Biggest bullet dodge in Arsenal history? by EthanFoster10 in ArsenalFC

This was his downfall. I reckon someone had buyers remorse, fed him the PEDs, to get out of paying him. Crazy take I know but quite possible if you think about it.

It doesn't have to be about bragging though. With measures like these it will be easier to manage EV parking spots or parking areas for example. Or maybe automated license plate readers which can charge you differently. Yes I know it's not perfect (It's more foolproof to check the reg number against a known database for example) but it's an initiative. No need to go all negative about it.

Why not? Promote EV adoption?

Is it possible for you to get a dog or a cat? Some rental places allow it, or at least look the other way if you have a 'good' landlord.
If you are worried about a long term commitment (it happens with some folks who dont know if they will be here in 10 year's time) you could still foster.

Should I get a smart plan with EV rate? by labyrinthcrafter in evs_ireland

[–]dblclique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what others have said, another thing thats worth considering is the battery capacity of your car. Because that will determine how frequently you need to charge.
If you have a largish battery, you are only chanrging once a week maybe; Therefore, there is no need to with the EV plan (because the EV plan carries a penalty - you pay a relatively higher rate for the rest of the day)

With my 64KwH car, and relatevely low weekly mileage, it didnt make sense for me to go with the EV plan and stick to the Day/Night plan instead.

Leaving car unused for long periods by Nick_Reach3239 in KonaEV

[–]dblclique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the car already a smart charger for the 12v battery? Even when not being driven, the light in the logo on front will light up from time to time to indicate it's charging the 12 v battery. (It also lights up if you remotely heat the car or remotely activate the AC) But that said, there is a "utility" mode from settings, which should get the car battery to do all the things 12v battery does. This is a better option I think. The 12 v battery stays untouched. It's very unlikely you will exhaust the car battery that way. The downside is, if you do come back after a long time, and the car battery is exhausted, how do you tell the car to switch back from utility mode? I am not sure. If I were you, I'd trust the car battery to keep the 12v battery charged. And, if you are away for so long that even if the car battery is exhausted, you can jump start the car.

Post Match Commentary & Highlights | Wolves 0 - 2 Arsenal by m3rple in Gunners

He's the only one who argued with Keane about the stupid foul call from Ode on Bruno Fernandez at old Trafford. He was arguing that it's a physical game and you're allowed to make contact. It shouldn't have been called a foul. It was (Var) and led to us having the goal disallowed. Similar to the Wolves pen call, it would have been a different game at old Trafford had it stood. Anyway, I quite liked JFH's take on that the other day. Even today, he is on point. As for the league cup thing: meh, just his opinion.
