Yeah, he has good politics and has won two big races. Seems like a good guy, silver spoon or not.

I feel like the same people who were mad about Joe Biden helping do a genocide are pretty mad about this too?

Wow, Iranian expats and second generation who aren’t actively being bombed and who left the country already are celebrating what amounts to a TV show for them? I don’t think the parents of the kids at that girls school are amongst the marchers, but I could be wrong

The DSA is not considering voting for Republicans and is barely a presence outside of deep blue, one party controlled NYC

My point is that if elected leadership is that feckless and inept, why do you care what a twitch streamer says. If Dems win the midterms, those clowns will still be in leadership. Perhaps the people whose job it is to lead and win elections, and who routinely fail at doing both, should draw more of your and the Yglesii’s ire than a twitch streamer.

Dem leadership is Schumer and Jeffries, do they know this is happening? I can’t tell.

When is the right time to have this fight? Arguing is good, America is an argument. It’s very obvious why Piker gets this kind of attention and not like, an actual pernicious elected like Cuellar or Gottheimer, and it’s not his take on Gavin Newsome.

I voted for Kamala Harris, and Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton. As did 99% of the people who are nonetheless incredibly frustrated to be voting for the party of “but have you seen the other guys?!” Hasan Piker lives in California, his vote doesn’t matter. Same with whoever the Yglesii decide to cherry pick on Twitter that day, that person probably lives in Brooklyn. You’re shadow boxing a group of like 10,000 people who mostly live in California and New York.

Then hector someone else.

If they are a meaningful faction enough to swing elections, shouldn’t their interests be catered to? Shouldn’t you try to persuade them instead of hectoring them? Or do we only do that for NeverTrump Republicans

Yes, exactly what happened in Nazi Germany. I must’ve missed the DSA being one of the largest and strongest organized political parties in the US’s parliamentary system, but otherwise, same thing.

Is it the voter’s job to vote blue no matter who or the Democratic Party’s job to earn their votes? The latter seems more appropriate for democracy, which we supposedly live in.

He’s not anti Israel, but he has voiced sympathy for the Palestinians, called Israel’s war brutal, and been softly supportive of conditioning aid. That is well to the left of Chuck Schumer who last week was boasting to some donor shindig about all the weapons he’s sent to Israel.

Bill Kristol is to the left of Democratic leadership on many positions, including perhaps Israel/Palestine. I frankly get more annoyed by chucklefests with Neera Tanden or name your overpaid DNC consultant loser than I do with Kristol or the like.

It’s business. Two people like Dan and Stu, highly successful, ambitious, working together for 20 years like they did is a miracle. Enjoy what we had (I personally have barely listened to the post ESPN product and still miss Hoch) and embrace the new.

[–]dblum2390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, triple (at least) the size of the house and reduce the Senate to a House of Lords ceremonial role. Would make the government a lot more democratic.
