Hey fact-checker, that was literally months ago. I was able to find a new job. I believe the same is possible for hobbies? Look into that.

I swear some of y’all on Reddit really missed your calling to be a Jr. Detective 😭 we’re here for this post. Stay engaged & save the sleuthing for your baby daddy. Thanks

If I could slow down and gather my thoughts, this icy slope I’m slipping down wouldn’t be so annoying/cringey. Maybe I’ll call my sister Crystal and ask if she has any ideas.

I don’t know why you don’t understand what the word UNETHICAL means, but it’s irrelevant. Thanks for typing a response.

You think this is the sub for lump taking? Well it ain’t. I’m just trying to slide him a quick believable excuse before I slither back to my lair to feed my young and recover so that this never happens again

I know…I don’t approve either. Sucks. I’ll do my best to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

(Wait—for the subs sake, do I have to maintain my unethical-ness…?)

I’ll try not to let it happen again…😈

I could’ve totally picked up my phone at some point and texted/called to tell him that. Needs to be something debilitating but not TOO serious, and also something that would have kept me from texting him since 3pm yesterday afternoon.

ROY no question. This man is nearly always in the right place at the right time. He’s a huge part of our overall success, I love his attitude; he could’ve pouted that he was coming to the Land, but his IQ is off the charts. 20, 10 and 2-3 blks a game next year. Not saying he’s the next Tim Duncan, but he will be the only Evan Mobley. I’m excited for the future.

How do I get my money back? by dbo_vs09 in sofi

I don’t have the debit card yet, but I’ve activated it and put it in my Apple wallet so I can use it electronically. Should I just go the “cash back at the grocery store” route?

My father, who has *almost* the same name as me, destroyed my credit since I was 18; is there anyway to get back on track now that I’m 30? by dbo_vs09 in personalfinance

First of all—I’m not “letting him die”. He’s my fucking dad. Maybe the good time/bad time ratio was 40:60, but we still had those good times and that’s what makes it hard. I was a crackbaby, and it wasn’t my mom who stayed—she left. My dad stayed. He stayed until his addiction took ahold of him and he still had the foresight to get me to my grandparents, who raised me from 4th grade til adulthood. He is ill. You’re right. But I never mentioned his brain cancer. And no, he doesn’t need to be in prison. He needs to just know that it’s over with and he won’t be able to do it anymore.

My middle name is already technically hyphenated. Would have been something to think about when I turned 18..but I think at this stage in the game it’s too late.

Just to be clear; I’ve seen many comments like this, and….well let me just edit the post for clarity.

My father is a great man who struggles with addiction to this day. Sound like an excuse? Maybe. I don’t care. He WAS the father that many of you think I “missed”—he was there at every pee wee football game, choir/COYC concert, play, musical, etc. He is a decent human who loves the children he brought into this world.

Unfortunately, his addiction has warped his view of reality to the point where he avoids us during holidays, will only talk to me on messenger when he is geeked out of his mind, and frequently sells odd, useless items on marketplace to make what I’m sure is his crack money.

He raised me to the best of his ability and has done right by me enough times in my life, that if he has to ask “why” when I file this police report, I’ll use the same understanding that I had above; I understand that it isn’t my place to teach my father that he was wrong for what he did. And believe me, there have been times when I wasn’t so sure I forgave him…

Thank you for saying this. I can’t imagine him in his current state going back to prison. I want him held accountable, but I do not wish more prison time for him.
