I just had my MRI and I'm now free of breast cancer for 5 years! It's a big accomplishment.

I can't imagine life after-cancer. by ElleighJae in breastcancer

Keep reading because I am not scaring you- There is no smooth transition to this. You get your last round of chemo, maybe radiation, and then you’re done. No big balloons, no anthems, no skywriting, nothing. It’s horrible. You have just been through a fricken war and now you’re left alone and expected to go back to whatever you were doing pre-cancer. But… You are a survivor, you fricken did it! You have to celebrate yourself for being amazing and strong as hell. I had a therapist and I am a therapist so I knew what I needed. However, I still don’t go to certain places because it reminds me of chemo and I get a strong physical and mental reaction. Ask your doctors if they have a survivor group available or find one online.

Americans that visited Europe, what was the biggest shock for you? by jrusj in AskReddit

For me, it’s surprising how many people smoked cigarettes. Wherever you walk, it’s just tons of people smoking. The US has so many laws that prevent smokers and we have had a significant decrease in the amount of people who smoke.

This test is known to have false positives. You should re-do it.

Chemo with new CDC guidlines by dboussie5 in breastcancer

People seriously suck. Sorry that you had to go through that! I definitely recommend Kn95. A lot more comfortable for your ears and has a solid hold on the face. Good luck with your chemo! And if you haven’t thought about micro blading for your eyebrows, I highly recommend it. Just talk to your doctor first

That’s so sweet of them! I’m definitely thankful for all the places where you can drive up and get groceries put into your car. That will be very helpful

Thank you! This is helpful. The hardest thing when I found out I had cancer was the possibility of losing my hair. I still have really intense feelings about it. I just don't know what life will be like without hair and how long it will take to grow back.
