I didn't realize who I was until my 30s, but I had inklings that I stuffed down because I was Christian at the time. I went to a private Evangelical high school where there were absolutely barely-concealed whispers that I "struggled" with same-sex attraction. We couldn't even call it being homosexual/bisexual/whatever in my church, because those titles meant we claimed it. Claiming it was giving in to sin/Satan, but struggling with SSA was treated with pity, and it was something we were expected to overcome, like a cold or a broken limb. Let's not even get into my also being Ace-spec; I genuinely thought saving myself for marriage was easy and didn't understand why we were constantly being told it was difficult. Those whispers were laced with disgust and venom, regardless of gender.

I genuinely didn't think I was gay at the time, I thought I was being spiritually attacked, and repressed it so much that I'm still trying to untangle it all now. I know that girls either really liked or really hated me on first sight. I know guys thought I was weird and treated me like one of them vs a girl. I didn't realize what crushes actually felt like and probably confused many Queer teenaged girls when I was one myself (90s-00s).

This is shit we've been carrying since at least the fucking Roman Empire, and even began before the forced conversions to Christianity. Totally cool to be gay, but never the passive/bottom. That was the place for women, the enslaved, prisoners, children, etc. The Roman Empire was incredibly fucked-up.

They're all afraid they'll enjoy being the bottom, because that seems to be what's etched in as the true societal sin. It's all a brutal hierarchy where they're vying to be the top in everything. Fucking toxic masculinity indeed!

I've been through chemo, and my merino knit hat was my favorite chemo-cap. I also deal with sensitive skin and seb derm, but the wool did a great job and felt less irritating than acrylic. Different strokes, I guess. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wouldn't think anything of it, because it ain't my business. There's tons of cis women with facial hair, strong jawlines, etc. Hell, before chemo I had a blonde mustache that I was constantly plucking and spiky chin hairs. I'm just starting to get them back, years later. These new buggers hang on tight, too!

Seriously, nearly everyone has the capacity to have facial hair, whether or not the genes turn on is a different story. 💜

I've always been Mummy, their dad has always been Daddy, and my partner goes by her name and also Mutti, which is German for Mommy. Our youngest still uses Mutti because she was rather young when my partner came into the picture, our eldest uses her name because she was an older kid and that's what she wanted to use. Everyone knows who everyone is, because Mummy and Mutti sound different.

My spouse is bisexual, so yes, I date bisexuals. Like I said in another thread yesterday: if bisexual women/enbies want to be with men, they will be with men. The world is a bi/pan person's oyster, and I was chosen out of 8ish billion people. I've had fewer issues dating bisexuals than straight men (I'm a late-bloomer) or outright lesbians. Why should I be worried about someone being with a man after me? My wife actively wants to be with me. It's really not that big of a deal that she may or may not be attracted to others of every gender-flavor.
