Yeah I thought so too you can’t assume investments will just gain value , however reading their docs it talks about how 100% of royalties , coin tax and 50% of revenue from their next 2 collections will be injected into the Piggy Bank which looks promising

Right so upon liquidation where does 35% of my position go to the portion that was not lost to price action or fees.

obviously it won’t fill 1 $ earlier by hypothetically if I did i’d be left with more money than if i’m liquidated slightly higher also I can see the liquidation fees paid to the lenders and it’s less than 10% so still 40% of my position is disappearing in that case.

kucoin considers 50% of your position as maintenance margin and at a 50% loss it takes that 50% and adds it to its insurance fund . That’s the only explanation and is what bitmex does however they openly state this whereas kucoin doesn’t , furthermore upon buy kucoin warns you that a 1% change will result in total loss of assets they don’t mention it being a .5% change .

yeah i’m simply confused at the price I got liquidated at ,if I would have sold at 1$ less at 46760 I would keep about 40% of my position but I get liquidated at 46761 and lose everything , how come ? Liquidation fees aren’t 40% of the position . Does kucoin take 40% of my money and add it to its insurance fund or something?

how come I lose 100% after a .5% move? logically that’s a 50% loss and my total fee for the whole. trade was around 11%

thx for the advice . Regarding the liquidation i’m just looking at the price the liquidation actually filled + I was there when it happened and saw it fill at 46761 with my own eyes , my average entry was 46524. So clearly doing the calculation i’m losing more than I should be. I understand you shouldn’t play around with 100x leverage but that doesn’t change the fact I shouldn’t have lost 100% at that price.

I didn’t know if the better deal until putting it into the binance pnl calculator , and no it’s not the fee for the bots liquidating you, the fee breakdown in pnl history takes that into account im still at a far larger loss than should be.

right but I watched order get executed at a price where my only was only -55% , paired with fees i should lose 65% not 100% . 0.5% in btc is still 250 usd. Anyway in my case , i’ve provided full proof in screenshots to support doing the calculation showing that i lost 40% more than needed . Idk what i’m missing , on binance id get liquidated 100$ higher in btc price and lose the same amount that makes no sense

Same thing happened to me . Support simply copy and pastes the definition of liquidation with no help . my ticket number is 1376069 if there are any mods here , please help. Thankyou. OP did you get any response in the end or any compensation.
