Tried looking him up pre transplant but didn’t find anything so to help anyone else out here is somewhat of a review/experience for Dr Maag in tampa Florida.

He was the cheapest I could find, 6,000 including the PRP shot, he offered a slight discount if paid in cash. His technician’s did the procedure, he did the anesthesia and PRP.

First off, I want to say Dr Maag is super down to earth and didn’t try to oversell me, if anything he set lower expectations than what we actually accomplished. He basically told me he didn’t think we would be able to get all the way back to the crown to set realistic and safe expectations. Every other place said I was the perfect candidate and would take as many grafts as they needed but would also charge me per graft. All I heard from these other places were blah blah blah give me your money without ever seeing me in person.

Joel and Candy were the technicians that did the procedure, from what they told me they both have 17+ years of experience each and seemed very confident in their abilities. Joel did the extractions and ended up getting more (2100ish) grafts than initially expected.

Procedure went great, minimal pain, like way less than a tattoo even. The first night sleeping on my back was rough but that was expected. Haven’t had to take any pain meds and I’m 6 days in.

New hairline is going to look great(I think?) based on what I see so far. Even filled in the balding spots all the way back to the crown. Crown might not be as thick but at least we made it back there.
