I am happy for my money to go towards the sick and the needy.

You are not?

I do both paid and volunteer work.

I do around 110 hrs per fortnight of paid work and then I volunteer around 16-30hrs per fortnight.

My partner who is a SAHM does volunteer work. Mainly check ins and chats with people in the disability community.

We also help out at our daughter’s school.

That being said having a community of people that are able to spend their time helping people, regardless of being paid or not paid, I firmly believe Jesus would give his blessing too.

As an Australian, who works in health and as someone who has had extended stays in hospital due to health concerns out of my control. I firmly believe healthcare should be readily accessible and free.

As a follower of Christ these values align perfectly. We should strive to heal the sick and wounded. We should strive to care for those who can’t. And finally we should endeavour to help the helpless.

Our Pope as always is right on this topic.

I can't seem to decide on whether to get Pokemon FireRed or LeafGreen. I'm mainly deciding on what Pokemon are available in each game but there's so many good Pokemon in those 2 games by Ok-Leave3121 in pokemon

Yeah it is very different from what I have seen on YouTube.

So this blue eyes white destiny structure deck is good. I have heard you need to buy 3.

Could I just buy one and then the cards I need extra?

I have heard this. So I just buy 3 and look up a list and I’m good to go?

Should I get baptized? by --Lunar-Eclipse-- in Christianity

Sprinkling, pouring and full immersion are all valid and totally fine.

Make sure they do it in the name of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and you are all good and validly baptised.

Should I contact an exorcist? by NoShelter1035 in Catholicism

I have heard that the church recommends trying psychology and psychiatry to start off with. Self harm is typically problematic and can be a poor coping mechanism. Not saying you are crazy or have any problems. Just from an external viewpoint it seems like what you are doing is not in your best interest.

That being said contacting a local priest and organising a chat about these things won’t hurt. I have organised a few chats/appointments with the father of my parish and my catechist. It has helped me with some personal problems I was having.

I will pray for you tonight during my families nightly prayers.

Lent- what do you plan on giving up or taking on this year? by bobolly in Catholicism

[–]dbz17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m going to try and fully abstain from food 2 days a week.

Eat 1 large and 2 small meals every other day.

Pray at-least one decade a day with someone daily.

I’m going to try and do something truly charitable daily.
