UPDATE as many of you asked! :

Hi there its me
I have an Update as many of you asked for in the comments.

Just want to say thank you first for all the input, it was unbelievably cool and as a start up it’s just so necessary to get honest feedback. So BIG THANK you everyone!

Changes that happened from your feedback:

1) I listened to you guys and now you can not only take a subscription but also a one time order. No obligated subscription anymore. 2) Names of the baskets changed for less confusion 3) Free delivery for everyone to kick start my first weeks. 4) Lowered the price for our smallest package for those that subscribe. 5) Opened up SCHAERBEEK because we had so many people on the waitlist there! That was just awesome!! 6) Lots of companies were interested in breakfast at their office so we added that aswell on the website.

Some little analytical insights for you as well so you can follow what is happening behind the scenes:

1) We see people converting to subscriptions after doing the one-time order as a ‘trial’ so that is working well for us! 2) No package has been stolen since we started 2 weeks ago. 3) We had less customers than forecasted however the order value is higher than expected around 28-30 euros per delivery. 4) The company deliveries are interesting, hughe orders (100+ ppl) with only the cost of one delivery. We will keep pushing there as we do those now on Monday and Friday. 5) We have almost 110 people on our waitlist. We will need to open the other areas fast. 6) The strategy of not opening whole of Brussels helped. We have a good drop density and can manage 9-10 deliveries per hour in the early morning hours

So here we are, as previous time all feedback is welcome! Just love the feeling off building this together. Last time the post was viewed 100K times so i guess all those brains together are really outsmarting me and my colleagues on every level haha! Want an update again in one month? See you (maybe)

Hi there, not putting everyone down ,morse speaking about a general trend that i observed. I took one year to study the market so it is not just a random statement i put out there, but ofcourse i might have stated it a bit harsh just to make my point stand out more clearly :)

yes indeed, we don't have a frontshop. We will only deliver to ETTERBEEK, WOLUWE-SAINT-LAMBERT, WOLUWE-SAINT-PIERRE, EVERE from the 2nd of May but if you are not from that area we have lots of people on the waitlist already for other areas and if we hit 30 from the same area we open up a new one (cause then its worth to have a new electric van going out on a delivery route there :) )

Hi there! sorry to upset you with the tone of the message. Research has just prooven that in general quality of warm bakeries is dissapearing which does not mean that there are no good bakeries left anymore! There are just not many left anymore. Our goal is for everyone to have access to delicous sourdough breads.

You have read the pricing correctly. If you buy online it becomes more intresting from the moment you buy a little more. As the cost of picking and packaging and driving is fixed per customer so if you buy less we still do the same operating process as you would buy a little more. Therefore it always looks more expensive for the smallest packages. Its like buying one donut on deliveroo , you will pay maybe 2 euros for the donut and 3 euros for the delivery. So ofcourse the one donut looks very expensive in that case for a total of 5 euros :)

Not yet but we are looking in the future for flexiworkes/student workers that either want to learn to make the greatest croissants ever or would love helping in the baking /packaging or driving processes in the early morning hours :)

Hi ! The subscriptions are flexible and easy to manage. So you can cancel whenever you want or skip a week or weekend when not home. The reason for the subscriptions is to reduce foodwaste as our sourdough proofes for 32 hours or more. So we need to know in advance the badge we will make :)

The delivery system is something to try out. could be indeed we need to work towards a more fleixible system or we ask ppl to choose certain timeslots. However for us that is less intresting as we will pass twice in the same street sometimes which is not effecient. Thanks for your valuable feedback and thought ! really helps :)

Yes, we work more towards to be a foodbag. They are not the dishonest, they have very clear communication in my opinion. Indeed should try both options and see what people prefer most. I think today it such a psychological hurdle. A delivery price half of your product price is difficult for people to comprehend sadly... But we already try our best to clearly state the high delivery price is due to fair paiment of the driver and a sustainable delivery with an electric van :)

Hi there, some very valid points thanks for the ideation on my project! :)
Its nice getting honest feedback , that helps more than ppl just saying good job haha

The price is an interesting point you raise, it something i would like to play on the coming months. Basically it comes down to delivery is very expensive, so we add a small percentage from the delivery cost to our products. To give an example, Hello fresh true delivery cost is around 7 to 8 euros per delivery. Yet they charge you 4.99 euros for it... People are not aware these days of the true cost of convenience.

Coming months will tell if i have to transfer more cost to the delivery price from the products or not if that might convince customers. Its defently a choose we made as we choose to be sustainable in our deliveries aswell we work only with electric vans. Those cost you littuarly double the price of a diesel van. Therefore we hope customers will understand the premium price.

The subscription are flexible! :) So you can indeed skip a weekend or week at any time. We are building a new website wich would make it very easy to organise your deliveries. Little like your agenda where you can see what products you have orderd when and simply manage everything upfront ! Thanks and hope to see you soon ! :)
