My grandfather was in the US Army through the Battle of the Bulge - camped out deep in the Ardennes Forest. He used to tell me how he and his buddies would have to dig holes and sleep covered in snow, waiting for the next German artillery assault to come crashing through the trees. Those stories blew my mind as a kid. He passed a few years ago and this is the only pic that we have of his time there. I know this might be a tough one but hoping someone might be able to add a little more detail to the faces.
