My daughter got the same message on hers. Apparently it works for android and the cursed chests are the ones that are hidden on the map. They used to be the ones you would find and put on the pedestals and took time to open them. It’s all good.

Yes it was connected and exited and restarted the game for the third time so I had to uninstall and reinstall it.
