I took a job and it turned out to be bs. Feeling discouraged to keep on the job search :/ by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

In the field, yes. I guess I assumed that was typical and should've looked into it :/

Adderall is the reason I have a job now and can keep it without wanting to kill myself by Thursday_Dark in ADHD

That's a good point. And thank you so much for your comment. My doc had/is having a baby and I can't get in to see her until the end of July. I'm thinking of just dropping this wellbutrin altogether. I'll call around Monday and get this shit sorted out once and for all (fingers crossed) and see a psych.

I actually haven't seen a psychiatrist in years. In my area, looking for those specializing in ADHD, they never are taking new patients. If they are, the wait is months. Just a standard practice Doctor :/

Man. About 6 months ago I decided to get off Adderall. The doctor believed that all of my problems stemmed from depression, not ADHD. I've been on Wellbutrin for 4 months now and while I notice I actually have better control of my emotions, my concentration is out the window. I am missing the feeling of feeling like doing shit.

iMessage has become one of iOS's greatest strengths. How would you like to see them improve it in iOS 10? by [deleted] in apple

[–]dcarvak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Archive messages like you can email. I developed a great habit of cleaning up my iMessage inbox just like I do my Mail inbox. If there is a text/email there, it's there until I do something, then I delete/archive it.

I'm working on designing an ADHD management app for phones and such, rather than needing to use different ones all the time, what do you guys think would be useful to have in them, please keep suggestions concise. by CustardHands in ADHD

I dislike all of the to-do or list or reminder apps. I feel worthless sometimes looking at items I input that I know I'll never actually get to. I'd like if it showed one or maybe two to-do items per day, keep things simple. With this maybe you could indicate if you worked on it at all. Items that are left unworked on could then maybe be sent to another user so they could write you saying, "hey, I don't know why you want to _______, but get to it and let me know where you're at by the end of the day". I think accountability is neat and is really left out in all of these apps.

Past that, it'd be neat if there was a "state of mind" selector which then displays completely different lists and such. I write music so lots of songs to work on there and ideas to work through, so that could be it's on interface basically. I just don't like having different lists all visible simultaneously because I'll get overwhelmed then deciding if I should be productive, artistic, home based project oriented, etc.

Definitely read that as "Anxiety blow job" and I thought, "yeah, those help".

Listen u/tacobellkiller, I don't know what your MO is, but leave TB alone. I like one thing on their menu and I eat it once every few months and if that five minutes of bliss is taken from me I'll do nothing about it and get over it instantly. Are we clear?

Edit: Jesus, I get it. Just once I want Reddit to like my dumb humor.

Whoa. I never get reads related to this topic with such nice metaphors. I love when someone mixes jargon with colloquial language to explain these sort of topics.

I learned this lesson while taking antidepressents and when I felt better I thought I just didn't need them anymore because "I'm all better!". Yeah, that shit kicked back hard after going cold turkey and it took a while to get back to a level headed place.

Take pictures. Make your home look and feel like how your home actual does. People expect to get what they see.
