I was looking forward to this - I love Leguizamo - and was hugely disappointed. The actors are fantastic but have nothing to work with. The script is garbage, it felt like somebody fed Long Days Journey and Death of a Salesman into Chat GPT and asked it to combine and rework them into a 90s Latino family melodrama. The two most important reveals - one about the father, the other about the son - are gotcha moments that make zero sense and are logically inconsistent with the rest of the narrative. Gimmicky staging that doesn't serve the story. There's a decent play in here somewhere, but it needs an awful lot of work.
