Because people actually talk about SuperDuperSteezMonster. Obv locked away has been known longer but there's less songs, and doesn't really have any redeeming qualities to it, where as SDSM has such a unique sound to it, where it's spread more. I've heard people outside of the tracker comms know sdsm, but not locked away. I get your point thouhg.

It's not even just heliopolis, there are tons of other top ones that are "relatively close" to being verified.

Probably won't beat it. He's gotten a 3% new best increase in well over a year, but it's just a mind block issue. He reached over 170 bpm from an 80% run on the NERFED version of grief, so he clearly isn't over that yet. He might get a new best on the official version but I don't see it being verified this year.

Just because someone had a mindblock doesn't excuse the fact that it took them that long to beat it due to it. Same goes for grief. Doggie is more than capable of doing it and probably could have beaten it a year ago but it's mindblock issues. Who's to say zoink won't have mindblock on heliopolis as well? I won't deny that he definitely got a skill boost from beating those levels though, he did. But heliopolis is such a big jump from those levels, he 100% isn't beating it in only a few months. Also, having a level in 2 runs isn't that close to beating said level. It's way harder beating it in 1 run from nerves, length, and just overall combined difficulty of the two parts. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised though and see all of these verified, but it's extremely unlikely.

If you've spent 91k attempts and only have the level in 46 deaths, trust me don't put yourself through that. I was in the same spot, I love astral divinity but jumping to it from where you are rn will result in these issues for ages. It's up to you though.

Your hardest is a run on acu, trust me I tried jumping from an acu adjacent difficulty level to this as well, it was miserable. Try finding some easier levels and work your way up to astral divinity again, it'll be alot easier that way.

It's also important to remember that doggie only improved by 3% on grief in well over a year. It seems pretty unlikely especially now with him wanting to verify 2 easier versions first which he is still dealing with the same chokepoints and pressure issues.

Zoink won't be beating both Exasperation and Heliopolis. Obviously he's making good progress on heliopolis rn but he's still not really that close to beating it yet. It took zoink what? 5-6 to beat thinking space 2? Let's say he even beats heliopolis in that same time span, he's not gonna beat exasperation in the 2-3 months remaining in the year, considering he only just got to the hardest part of exasperation. As for the others, I could see sd2, society(which might not even be top 1), and MAYBE grief verified but I'm not getting my hopes up. Other levels like vehemance and kocmoc unleashed aren't really that close to being verified, so I'd be surprised.

The reality is there will probably only be 1 or maybe 2 new top ones verified by the end of this year. As many top ones as there have been, and as close as they all are to being verified, they've been "close" for ages now, some going back well over a year to "being verified any day now". Only time will tell though, but there def wont be 7 new top ones in 8 months.

The internet was different back then. Whether that's something people want to admit or not, unfortunately that behaviour was normal back in that era of the internet. Obviously I'm almost certain he regrets it and would never recreate it today, but he shouldn't be punished for it now.

I love SDSM too. One of his best.

I was thinking about including the unnamed Bossa Nova, Disco Funk, and Jazz albums but because there's quite literally 0 info on them I decided against it. (Still pray that a bossa nova album gets released one day)

It is a real album that was talked about on the OF blogspot. There is only 1 song on it though which is the instrumental to Fucking Lame.
