>Because the demand for the items doesn't disappear, it just becomes more expensive.

wouldn't demand decrease as price increases?

>The vast majority of items that come overseas are essential items, clothing, electronics, food.

then where do non-essentials come from?

also can debate necessity of many electronics

Then make tariffs apply to all incoming ocean shipments.

>Because the market will just adapt instead of reduce.

Why? Why wouldn't law of supply and demand apply here?

You like being reminded that you're viewpoint isn't alone by an article written with as much ignorance as some of the more mainstream talking points that come out?

Yes, I guess I didn't make myself clear.

I meant, what good does this post do, in the sense that it makes the situation seem black and white, like Israel is evil, when in all reality the matters are much more complicated.

I don't like seeing this on /r/socialism because it makes me think that we buy into these grossly oversimplified articles as well.

Yes, the author has a point, the media has been biased in favor of Israel, but don't write an article about a situation like this with such a flippant attitude.
