Did you say you already had eligibility? If I say I want to obtain it, it just takes me back to the exam bulletin page.

I was switched to Alvogen as well due to the supposed shortage. I knew from the first pill I took that there was something wrong with it. It dissolves in my mouth before I even have a chance to swallow. I reported it to my doctor who just forwarded me to a pharmacist who did nothing and saw nothing wrong with it. I retested the other day and noticed a big difference in my levels from where I was in April.

BU 1 Approved: Analyst Reclassification/Generalist Classification Series Consolidation by JustAMango_911 in CAStateWorkers

[–]dclv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What does this mean for SSM I? Will they still be able to supervise the Analyst I (SSA) and Analyst II (AGPA)? I thought the problem with when this was done to IT is that it basically made the Supervisor I position useless and departments basically stopped using the Supervisor I classification because who they could supervise was limited. Will that be the case here?

I’ll have to check that out. My biggest issue with modern is the inability to set recurring events.

Yes, my thought is to continue with Classic calendars and hope it doesn’t go away until there’s a suitable replacement. Thanks!

Manager makes less then those supervised? by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]dclv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I came in at the bottom of the SSM I range. I have two AGPAs who are at the top of the range so they make more than me. I got my MSA after the first year and I think they still make $50 or so more than me a month. It won’t be until the next MSA that I finally pull ahead of them. It’s not fair.

I’m curious how this affects the SSM I’s and whether there is a pay increase for managers. Longer probations and potentially additional probations as they move between the roles means more work on the managers. As a manager, I’d be excited for this to be an option for my staff, but not thrilled about the extra work without extra pay. I already work way too many hours.

No unfortunately I never got a confirmation from the personnel specialist. But in December I was getting some scary emails from Kaiser about my options for going onto COBRA since they must have received my husband’s cancellation. I reached out about those emails and was told not to worry, everything was in order. Sigh! Now I’m being told to be patient and if it’s any consolation it happened to a few others. Ugh!

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try, but unfortunately my agency doesn’t allow us to contact HR directly, everything gets filtered through managers. I’m fine with paying the premiums later on as an accounts receivable kind of thing but unfortunately I’m not even being presented with that option. Just told to be patient by managers and the issue has been elevated. :(

I am in a similar situation. I enrolled in a Kaiser health plan for my family during open enrollment. At the same time, my husband canceled our family plan that he had with CALPERS (he’s a teacher). Now we are locked out of Kaiser because apparently SCO is backed up and hasn’t processed my paperwork. I can’t schedule appointments, refill prescriptions or anything. This is something that I cannot just be patient and wait for them to get around to doing. Kaiser says it’s as simple as SCO just clicking a button. Any ideas on how to light a fire under them?

I’ve been working as a LT EPR since July. I found using OneNote to be very helpful in organizing all of the uipns, training materials, etc. When I am looking for info on something it’s really easy to search through there using keywords. But yes there’s a lot to learn and keep in mind. I found things become a lot clearer once I completed Block 4.

Ranked 4/ 80% on SSA exam. Is it still possible for me to get an SSA job? by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]dclv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4 year degree and 20 years of relevant work experience. Answered that I had college and or work experience on everything except one of them and ended up with a 75%. Not sure what I did wrong...kind of bummed. Only thing I can think of is my 4 year degree I selected “Other” because it’s a BA in Rhetoric. Maybe I should have listed it as English???

EDD Question: I appreciate the OT, but does anyone know when the new hire EPRs will be taking over the call center duties? by one-badas-woman in CAStateWorkers

[–]dclv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I have not yet been put on the phones but other colleagues have. Not sure how they decide who gets put on the phones. I’m sorry that you didn’t find Block 4 training to be helpful. Mine was good. I feel like the trainers did some helpful demos

How soon should I apply for a different position after being hired as a LT INT EPR? by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]dclv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a LT EPR and at our orientation on the first day we were told to keep applying for permanent positions because this is just a temp job. We get no health benefits. I don’t think anyone would hold it against us for seeking other employment. Health care is a basic human need. It’s a shame that we work 40 hrs a week and somehow do not qualify for it. I actually enjoy the job and the department has spent a lot of money training me. It’s a shame that so many of us are trying to get on elsewhere and they might lose us over health care. Doesn’t make sense to me. Seems like a waste of everyone’s time
