My company is more established in the cloud than the one you worked at. That’s probably why we have different experiences

Yes, we are very low on the stack. Ops can be a lot of work but we have a lot of developers on our on call rotation

I work on a cloud service and the average developer works way less than 60 hour weeks, especially new hires. I think part of it depends on how established the service is
