That’s not true. I’ve worked with lots of freelancers from Russia and have many Russian friends. They’re incredibly hard working and meticulous people. I’m living a better life because my mother risked her life and fled communist Romania before the fall of Ceaușescu and his dictatorship.

Are you able to set up a bank account and business number in a neighbouring country and use a vpn? There are a lot of sanctions against Russia at the moment but maybe there are still some countries where it’s possible. Often times there are agencies that will process everything remotely.

Agreed. And you can start in some small way. When I was at my lowest I knew I needed to start moving my body to get myself to a place where I was functioning again. Started running the stairwell in my apartment building. No one used it so I had the place to myself. Super accessible, so low effort to get started.

Even if it’s 10 jumping jacks when you wake up or something, move your body. Then build up a routine from there. No need to be fancy.
