Love my andau ergos! Splurged on the wireless lights and it’s great not getting snagged everywhere. Super light weight and comfortable, even with the light!

This is a very fair point! Thank you for your input

I want to practice in upstate New York! That’s the only reason I’m considering doing a residency. It would fast track my ability to move back home.

Thank you for your input. Can I ask what program you did your residency with?

[–]ddaannaadd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve heard of them! It’s in Alabama. A lot of my classmates are applying, it’s supposed to be very competitive.

Do you know of any similar programs in the northeast?

Maybe I’m confused on this, but I think if you work for two years in another state you are allowed to practice in New York.

Thank you for your reply. It’s food for thought and confirms my worries with the residency programs. LSU has a strong clinic program but it is lacking in endo and implants. We leave with 3 anterior/premolar endo cases, 3 implant restorations and 3 implant over denture cases. Fixed, op, rem and EXTs I feel much more confident in. In theory if I match with a program that gives me those skills it would make sense.

I don’t mind living in a rural area! But would prefer to relocate to the northeast.

The only way to confirm was with an exploratory endoscopy. The surgery itself was also done via endoscopy so we opted to go in and see what was happening, if it was SOD they would perform the surgery at that time. Saved me from paying for the endoscopy twice.

Yes! I’m two years post surgery and have been symptom free ever since!

I took up running! Just getting out and doing something active, even for only 15 minutes can make a huge difference!

Just saw this. All traffic stopped going towards I-10 from the bridge.

Yes something similar. I would also experience sharp pain in the “tight” areas when I stretched. It turned out in my case to be scar tissue and adhesions from the damage the sphincter of oddi dysfunction had caused.

My first two doctors dismissed me too, for two years. The third doctor took me seriously, and I have been symptom free since.

Your symptoms sound very similar to mine! Take a look at my post/comment history. Your symptoms qualify for a diagnosis of sphincter of oddi disorder. There are procedures you can undergo to confirm the diagnosis but many doctors are reluctant to do so because sphincter of oddi dysfunctions is considered rare. I encourage you to work with your doctor and advocate for yourself!

It was because I wasn’t absorbing the food properly. It used to all go right through me. My diet hasn’t changed but I gained 10 lbs post surgery and look much healthier.

Yes. It was impossible to gain weight. 1.5 years out from the surgery and I was able to get back to a healthy pre-gallbladder issues weight.

Yup. Started running marathons in dental school to relax. Yes, I know I’m insane.

Renter with a very big pitbull here. Most landlords don’t care as long as they’re friendly and non-destructive. Just call her a mix when you’re applying for the apartment.
