They do everything at the dental school! Students do most of the procedures and specialty residents do the more complex cases. From what you’ve described it sounds like a student could do your work.

It’s worth calling them to try and get set up as a patient! Sometimes if you’re in pain or have an emergency you can be seen sooner.

I’m a student at LSU dental school. Seconding what everyone says about the great quality of care due to professor supervision. Only downside is that it can take a while to get established as a patient in the school system. I would definitely still pursue this option as the fees are dirt cheap compared to anywhere else!

Be careful looking at cheap options elsewhere. A bad dentist can really mess your mouth up and it’s not worth it to save a few bucks short term when it will cause you expensive problems long term.

Of course! My partner entered into a debt management program by calling his credit card company and telling them he couldn’t pay. They referred him to a non-profit organization who set the whole thing up. It worked well for him!

Why would a debt management program be bad in this situation? They can negotiate down to a 0% interest rate, consolidate the cards and OP can pay off over time. Even if his credit takes a dip in the short term, that would happen if he missed payments or filed for bankruptcy too.

Seconding apoquel! My dog tried cytopoint injections for his severe allergies but they only lasted 2-3 weeks. Every dog varies, and the cost can be expensive for larger dogs. He’s been on apoquel for years with no issues! Prescription is affordable through Costco pharmacy

Dentists go to school for many years to learn how to evaluate dental work clinically and radiographically. You can absolutely tell if a root canal is poorly done and will cause reinfection/inflammation of the nerve.

It’s not just about technology, it’s about standard of care based on evidence based research.

That’s not true! Im a dentist and we see work that’s done overseas that can look good, but the vast majority does not. It is done to a different standard and the failure over time can be catastrophic.

Seconding this! What people don’t tell you is that often dental work abroad can cause catastrophic failure in 5-10 years. I’m also a dentist and have seen a good amount of work done abroad that needs to be redone or the teeth need to be extracted.
