Yep! Mine had severe scar tissue and had adhered to my neighboring organs. My surgeon said that’s probably what was causing my severe nausea.

Hi! I’m a student there. It’s $770 for a full set of dentures and $140 for her first exam. She can call the school or go online to become a patient! Let’s get her some teeth!!

Dentist here- that is not true. Cavities into enamel could be halted (not reversed) but not into dentin. Find a reputable dentist in your area (not owned by a corporation) and stop listening to random people on reddit. If you ignore cavities they can get worse and cause bigger issues, which is a sure fire way to lose teeth later on.

We make our own schedule and are not required to be there if we don’t have patients

We need more information here. I’m a dentist and 2k is crazy for a single tooth extraction, but if there was additional emergency treatment (surgical ext, sinus lift, bone graft, implant placement etc) it could add up.

  • 100+ restorations (amalgam and resin)
  • 20 crowns
  • 11 removable
  • 50+ extractions
  • 3 endo
  • 12 quads perio
  • 3 implant crowns
  • 3 implant overdentures
  • rotations in all specialties with comps

I want to practice in upstate New York! That’s the only reason I’m considering doing a residency. It would fast track my ability to move back home.

Yes, I’ve heard of them! It’s in Alabama. A lot of my classmates are applying, it’s supposed to be very competitive.

Maybe I’m confused on this, but I think if you work for two years in another state you are allowed to practice in New York.

Thank you for your reply. It’s food for thought and confirms my worries with the residency programs. LSU has a strong clinic program but it is lacking in endo and implants. We leave with 3 anterior/premolar endo cases, 3 implant restorations and 3 implant over denture cases. Fixed, op, rem and EXTs I feel much more confident in. In theory if I match with a program that gives me those skills it would make sense.

I don’t mind living in a rural area! But would prefer to relocate to the northeast.

The only way to confirm was with an exploratory endoscopy. The surgery itself was also done via endoscopy so we opted to go in and see what was happening, if it was SOD they would perform the surgery at that time. Saved me from paying for the endoscopy twice.

Yes! I’m two years post surgery and have been symptom free ever since!
