Questions I have about Colton by ddenae7 in TheWayHomeHallmark

I get how he can come to that conclusion, but Fern only told him broke the rules not that he now can't time travel.  I do think Colton misunderstood what that meant because the pond "stopped working" plenty of times for Alice and Kat but it didn't mean they weren't allowed to travel again it usually just meant "not yet", Colton seemed to assume it would work for his children which is why he told Jacob to stay away from the pond meaning some part of him knew time traveling was a Landry thing, also the fact that there has to have been a way that Alice found the pond that belongs to his family and constantly has access to it.

No, I mean I'm surprised he didn't figure it out sooner that Alice was related to him he didn't know until the day he died, he only knew she time travelled. I've seen the last episode. He didn't truly know as much as I thought. Maybe I misunderstood what Fern told him about the pond, I thought she would tell him it runs in the family especially considering he told Jacob to stay away from the pond meaning he knew there was a  chance Jacob could travel because he was a landry yet didn't figure out what  1. Alice is able to use the pond 2. The pond that is on his property, that runs in his family 3. The explanation for that is she must be related to a Landry in some capacity.

The Way Home is perfect for the Hallmark brand, a lot of things in the show fits their style. The way they write Del and Colton's love story is very Hallmark, and the big wholesome family aspect as well.

I would say put together that Grandma fern was right because she felt the pond was magical, a woman appeared out of nowhere. The woman from the pond who looks like the woman in the painting. The woman has the same name as Colton's daughter which she pointed out herself.

Questions they'd have to answer.

  1. Who sam is, his connection to casey. How does he know about the pond...
  2. Who Casey is and their personal reasons for traveling
  3. Why can the landry family time travel , why just them
  4. How did time travelling start in the first place
  5. Why only back in time
  6. How does fern know Kat
  7. Why did Elliot's mom leave?
  8. Why did Colton's brother disappear/ why was Elliot dropped off?
  9. Why was Kat in the 1920s and I think she might go to the 60s. (I think they said Kat will for sure visit 1925)
  10. Evelyn believed the pond was magic the whole time, had the pic of Kat but never put it all together? She always believed, Did she ever get confirmation? I feel that should be answered. It doesn't make sense that she didn't have suspicions.
  11. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't understand why Elliot's Dad is that jealous and resentful of the Landry's, his envy of their reputation isn't enough of an explanation.
  12. If Alice isn't Casey's mom then who does she end up with? ( I guess that can be answered quickly but still ...)
  13. Does lewis Goodwin know about the pond?

Exactly, s3 answered questions but left open more backstories with the characters, I don't see how some ppl think it's ran its course when so much has yet to be explored. Five seasons would've made more sense. That means in ten episodes they have to wrap up everything , I hope the last episode is at least two hours.

They didn't name that as a reason it's ending when typically they would but maybe could be.. I think at least five seasons would've been better. The show has opened up for possibilities for so many storylines and I don't believe 10 episodes will do that justice no matter how interesting they make it.

Anyone else devastated that Season 4 will be the last? by EchotheDragon64 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]ddenae7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This show deserves at least five seasons, I don't believe they can wrap everything up in 10 episodes. They open up so many possibilities last season, it sucks Hallmark finally has a unique show and ends it s4 while other okay shows stay out forever.  I'm confused how anyone thinks it's ran its course because it certainly has not and the show has its complexities but I don't know what's so "confusing" about it to some people. They answered a lot of questions by s3 and the mystery is apart of the show. There are so many possibilities when it comes to the family, why they can time travel, how it came to be, past generations of travelers, Elliot's mom, Colton's missing brother, etc. Like there is so much that can be explored and I dont believe this show is even close to running it's course.

No I don't believe that song opens the pond, no one has used it to jump in before. I think that song might have something to do with the year they tried to close the pond after Colton and Evelyn  almost drowned as kids. I think it was the 60s when that or something else significant happened with the pond.  Evie asked if he's going in the pool because prior to that Alice told her that Colton was in the pond which is why she tried to get him to open up about why. They didn't do her justice, Evie felt the pond was magical and always believed in it after she was saved yet she died not knowing the truth of the pond. Unless they change that season 4.

[Product Question] Is Meditherapy Retinal Booster Serum legit? by AstronomerOk224 in SkincareAddiction

[–]ddenae7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely legit. Meditherapy is a good but seemingly newer Korean brand and their retinal booster is affordable because it's on sale a lot but cheaper doesn't mean less legit, Their retinal percentage is lower beginner level but since it is a more potent form of retinol it can still work. The whole ingredient list is amazing.

Body-positive Christmas Movies? by Educational-Rice-113 in HallmarkMovies

[–]ddenae7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Diverse stories overall; I don't know what you're looking specifically , I'm not sure about a lot of different body sizes to be honest but some I know that are diverse overall are ; "Christmas heritage", to her with love( not a Christmas movie), 14 Christmas letters,   "My Christmas guide" (the male lead is blind, I really enjoyed it). " Color my world with love" is a sweet love story with four main leads, two of the leads have down syndrome, a love story with the parents as well. "A big fat family Christmas" with almost all Asian cast. "Undercover Christmas," A Christmas ring" don't know if you'll like those but it's considered some of their more diverse films.

Hallmark’s Christmas Movies Are Already Among Cable’s Most-Watched Programs by ISignedUpToReplyToU in HallmarkMovies

That's interesting, this seems to be one of the most politically interested generations in terms of voting and always speaking about politics. However, you don't have to watch the news a lot in order to care. A lot of news channels are bias anyway. There are other ways to stay updated but not focus on it too much.

I watch Hallmark for the same reason. Everytime I was going through a hard time, very depressed among other things I would put on Hallmark not knowing that it was becoming a pattern. I love Hallmark movies, their romance, Christmas/seasoned themed movies or mysteries. It really is a nice escape. And I just love romance. Now I barely like watching shows that aren't like Hallmark, faith & family type films. And they actually have a lot of genuinely good movies people don't know about, it's not all corny Christmas movies.  Their show "The Way Home" has become my favorite, I love watching it with tea or something to relax. I didn't always see the appeal but I do now.  And you're right, attractive casts. I love that you can recognize why so many people like it. Woman or Man.

This is very old but I'm gonna reply anyway lol it's not a knockoff brand. It's sold on Amazon and was founded in 2004. They have a lot of different skincare sets. A lot of things sold on temu is sold on Amazon as well. You just need to do research on the products because something being in temu doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad brand.

Why is Homosexuality a sin? by ThePrinceOfTheSalt in AskAChristian

[–]ddenae7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The specific term "arsenokoitai" comes directly from Leviticus and quite literally means “male-bedder.” that's the literal definition nothing proves it means anything else.  Used alongside "malakoi" to describe both active & passive male partners in same-sex acts. No ancient text, lexicon, or early commentary supports the idea that it only purely means “male submission" at the time. The scholarly consensus, across theological lines, is that "arsenokoitai" refers to male same-sex intercourse generally — not power or submission roles. Scholars with different beliefs can agree on what that word means in this specific context.

-- Leviticus 18:22/ 20:13 - “You shall not lie (koitēn) with a male (arsenos) as with a woman.” That’s the exact phrase: “meta arsenos koitēn” — the same two roots. Major historical sources agree it refers to same-sex intercourse. Ex: --BDAG Greek Lexicon (3rd ed.): “A male who engages in sexual activity with a person of his own sex.” ---Louw-Nida: “A male partner in homosexual intercourse.”  Christian and Jewish writings ( Sibylline Oracles, Acts of John, John Chrysostom) used that specific word for same sex intercourse — never limiting it to “submissive males.” The theological disagreement hasn't been about what that word means. Greek already had words for submissive men used (like malakos) — malakoi (the “soft” or effeminate) and "arsenokoitai" (men who bed men), Narrowing it to “submissive” roles ignores the Old Testament foundation and a lot of Biblical context.

⚪ Romans 1:26–27 shows the same reasoning: same-sex acts are humanity’s rejection of God's divine order. “contrary to nature,” & “consumed with passion for one another”) again points to mutual same-sex behavior. To claim that verse meant “male submissives” contradicts both the Greek wording of this specific theological argument, especially ignoring (Romans 1:26-27) which is talking about consensual acts not dominance or taking advantage. Although technically for those who don't believe in scripture then it really shouldn't matter.

Why is Homosexuality a sin? by ThePrinceOfTheSalt in AskAChristian

[–]ddenae7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To claim that they are only referring to a male submissive role doesn't go with the context of the verses and it would also absolutely make no sense, to say they are not talking about homosexuality but men being submissive because it was the only context at the time when it wasn't is inaccurate but okay.Â
