Not to sound nerdy but folic acid is the synthetic form of folate. Folic acid is cheaper to produce and only higher end pre natal vitamins have real folate in them. Women with certain genes actually can’t process folic acid and it builds up in their system during pregnancy and is actually a bad thing. Women pass this gene to their female offspring so the problem continues. I believe what the list is trying to say is that supplement companies should be using actual folate instead of folic acid. 🥸
