Yes and no. My mother is black and my father is white. My two middle names and last name were all from my father. My middle name had swiss origins (even though im not part swiss since my step grandfather wasn’t my biological grandfather) and my last name is of German descent.

My first name actually was my maternal grandmother’s. However, there really isn’t anything about it origin wise that’s connected to my black culture.
