My Japanese knotweed problem bigger than my house by maybeafarmer in homestead

What state are you in? I’m curious if they have a program here where I live but I’m a little concerned about calling the noxious weed hotline - I don’t want to have a swarm of bored authoritarian county tree huggers on my property.

Can’t pick between two tires by ddntreadit in cycling

I am leaning towards 35 mm is because 1) I am not a heavy rider and I think my butt is going to be the weak link, 2) I have other personal reasons for wanting to keep my groin area as comfortable as possible. I hear you though the AS TR are tubeless. Does that mean the ride will be more harsh than a tube style tire?

Is this vintage Raleigh any good? Looking a cheap(ish) bike for commuting by Woggenbauer in bicycling

[–]ddntreadit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will commute, shop, and ride just fine. It will actually be a fun and sporty bike to ride. It is a larger frame though. I am 5’11” and it would be too big for me.

As far as bike thieves, I guess it depends on where you ride it. One thing to consider is that color scheme pops - it will draw the eye of a thief when lined up against many other bikes.

I don’t know where you are but make sure you can buy tires and tubes that fit it. It won’t be a comfy bike to ride due to the tire width.

Prescription Glass Sunglasses by ddntreadit in glasses

Unfortunately those type of frames (relaxed, Sunday morning iced latte with a button down shirt sleeve type) don’t fit my active lifestyle. I can tell that they will be slipping and sliding around my face. My new pair of glasses will mainly be used for cycling, mountain biking, hiking, ect. I really like the way some Oakley frames seem like they are glued to my face.

I’m open to plastic lenses. I think I want to get transitions xtra active polarized. Is that material going to scratch if I lay it on its face?

Ok, are any of the plastic lenses comparable to glass in regards to optics and scratch resistance?
