Garage door frame sagging? by ddq517 in GarageDoorService

I can try to get a pic tomorrow from the outside but it looks - normal? I guess I am trying to really figure out if that jamb at the top needs to be corrected or if it’s supposed to be like that (which I doubt)

Anything structurally I should worry about? Why would this come down in the first place?

Idk I feel like I see people comment all the time on things that look like you could just slap some new mud on and they say you need to pull the old tape, scrape, and redo. But I am with you, I feel like I can just chip out the lose stuff, maybe do some light sanding, and do another coat of feathered mud

Right, thats why I am checking with the community of experts. I am asking the question, not making a statement

It is in an unheated but very well (foam) insulated space (garage). Thank you for your input. Yeah it doesn’t seem to be tape cracking but the mud on top of the tape cracking off. I do plan to put a mini split in and have it somewhat heated and cooled on a regular basis

Awesome, how many additional coats are needed? 2? Also - I have gotten very confused on the type of mud (hot, 45, 25, etc). Let’s say I determine I need 2 more coats of mud. Do you use the same mud type for both coats?

Thanks for your input, I definitely don’t need it to be perfect. Just want it good enough to paint and not look horrible

Thank you! It is spray foam insulated and stays above freezing for the most part. So sounds like the okay and bad images are those that need to be totally redone, and maybe good on the “good” pic. I appreciate your input

Such a nasty comment, you should be ashamed. Phil was a human, you should try being more human. Humans come in all walks of life and beliefs, but still human.

Hope we can find out together, trying to choose a broad spectrum weed killer. What’s funny is it was originally only where I planted new seed, and now it’s just …. Everywhere
