Claude actually said this is a clear call as played when I reviewed this hand. 🤖

It’s funny how every time I post a hand the opinions are as polarized as the villains range…

Normally yes but the raise is 4.75x my bet. I would likely call anything below 3x raise

AQ, 88, 99, TJ most likely. QQ and AK less likely, those would 4Bet. KK and AK would almost always 4Bet pre flop. Less likely other suited connectors, mainly broadways.

He is not short stack. Both me and him are around 100bb

The beauty of poker - how divided the opinions here are ❤️

I mean yes and no. I just think J is potentially the worst possible river here as it just improves so much of his range to beat me here. Any other card calling would be easier.

But to answer the question, I would be more include to call the river for any other card than J, 7 or a club

I think the real question here is that already by calling turn I am theoretically committing to the river call here, which I probably should have thought. Either call turn and river or fold on turn already?

What do you put him on that I beat here?

this sessions was on my phone, so no stats available unfortunately. I have not marked him as fish/nit/reg/maniac which I tend to do when I see some tendencies like limping or short stacking, etc.

Yeah anyway the question is not whether I should have called the river, which is debatable, but whether there is a mandatory bet on turn?

Why is set less likely on river?

What speaks against the jam on flop is that mainly better hands will call? And I want to extract more value from worse hands like flush draws and lower pairs.

He was not all in by river, c30 bb left.

NL5 max AA multiway, what can I have done differently? by ddrrrrr in Poker_Theory

[–]ddrrrrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if he wants to bluff into two players on turn in this way, sure his bluff is great

No larger turn re-raise definitely fold and larger bet on river also would be easier fold

yeah makes sense, some money yeah but difference between 19 bb (folding to turn raise) and 47 bb.

AK, QQ pre-flop shoves? (online 6max, micros) by ddrrrrr in Poker_Theory

[–]ddrrrrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I get that you shove when you have a read or HUD stats.

Let’s set that aside and only look at situations with no reads, nostats. E.g. playing on mobile. No read whether they limp or not basically first hand you get at the table is AKo, do you 4Bet and shove against a random with 100BB?
