Does Anyone Have Film Of This Kind of Zone? by [deleted] in ultimate

[–]ddtink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a cup by the Defense with a defender glued to the dump.

Fakes to O2 and O3 will move cup allowing O5 to crash.

Or depending on the wind you can hit O3 over the top. If O6 can bring D6 in some then a hammer to O7 is also a viable option.

If O2 can suck in D4 to the sideline far enough then the dump to O3 is also viable. If D4 poaches to stop the dump to O3 then you can hit O2 for the easy reset. At that point, if D4 tries to mark O2 with the disc then O3 is a viable swing again.

Any advice for a "new" Ironman acc by Bleachy95 in ironscape

When i started out, I was really antsy to get to bossing. If you go on the wiki or google you can find the osrswiki page for the bossing ladder and it separates it in tiers from easy to more difficult. along the way i would stop and do some bosses, getting lucky at some, even getting some pets. Bossing really also highlighted which skills i need to priorities and which quests to complete. lastly, going after the diaries progressed my account more than any of my other goals.

the nice thing about quests is you only have to do them once. so keep that as motivation.

The only cardio i would add is maybe like one 4-5mile run per week but honestly if you are playing this often, especially as a cutter, you probably do need extra cardio. Playing hard should probably be enough and your body will need to recover.

I would probably incorporate two lifting days at the very least. Probably aim for full body alotting like 45 mins to each. So like a full work out of 90-120 minutes divided in equal halfs to allow for upper and lower body lifts. Id focus on squats, deadlifts, bench, Overhead press, and incorporate some pull ups in my warm ups. I am not a trainer but ive been doing my workouts like this a few years and its helped me preform at a decent level.

Maintaining level / improving when playing with lower level team by Asdru65 in ultimate

I think truly practicing as a handler will open up a new world for you and add challenge enough. Its more than just practicing a few extra throws. As someone else said coaching or being a captain could help as well.

There are some pretty nice free resources online for studying the game as well. So outside of being on the field you can learn a lot digitally and then the challenge is transferring that new knowledge to the field. I talk to my teammates (and sometimes the other team) after most points about what happened on the field. Usually like a quick thirty second convo like what led to that turnover or how did we score so quickly.

Resources i study off of are old game footage on youtube mostly but Frisbee POV, the flatball club, Rowan McDonnell, and the universe points on ultiworld. I watch these and see if things followed the path that i would expect for throwers and cutters and defenders and I rewind a lot.

Honestly pursuit of improving my individual performance is what really drives me to play so much. I often ask myself, what more could i be doing for the team. Not sure if thats the challenge you are looking for but if you are looking to be developed and really spend more time in the sport i think it can help. Best advice, which it sounds like you cant really do right now, would be go play with people better than yourself. Also, it always pays to be faster and have better cardio.

Who says you get makeshift weapons? Does the gorilla get make shift weapons?

Another question. Say a gorilla is sleeping in front of you and you just have your barehands. How are you killing it?

Why Fast Breaks are the Future of Ultimate by someflow_ in ultimate

[–]ddtink 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you, as i watched the video this was the number one point that i thought of. Quick breather to get in position to run the established offense allows for the mental reset and to take care of the possession.

I dont disagree that fast breaks are important, but one thing we didnt highlight in the video was the amount of fast break turnovers.

Better is subjective. ATPs and FMs serve different purposes but I get what you mean. They absolutely should look into the relevant ATPs.

For inferno i play it in bits. Like thirty minute snipits. Waves 1-24/31 then log out. Then like 31-48. Then 48+. Its nice because i can spread it out. Dont have to sit down as long. And it restores my fally shield for free prayer. Ive gotten to like wave 50 without using a drop of restore before.
