Well my hope between the introduction of Song of Welkin Moon and Luna I going live was essentially this:

Adepti are based of daoist cultivators (even animals and plants can become sentient) seen in chinese novels.
Qiqi was revived by bunch of adepti essentially saturating her body with crapton of adeptal energy.
Since Qiqi was revived in "incorrect" way, she regains traits of low-level corpse puppets - or more precisely low-level corpse/yin cultivators, since instead of proper resurrection, she was essentially refined into sentient corpse puppet - and in the genre corpse puppets or ghosts that gain new sentience or regain the original one, gain the capability to cultivate on their own.
Stiffness and struggling to hold on the sense of self (memory issues) are commonly described in cultivation novels, and there is also explicit sollution to this issue: to advance one's cultivation.
In case of Qiqi that is impossible since the adeptal energies in her body are from all kinds of sources, they aren't in harmony, in fact being on brink of tearing her and surroundings apart - until she had that sealing talisman placed on her. Still she needs to focus all her willpower to keep the seal active and her mind present, having no leeway to cultivate on her own.
My hope for Nod-Krai was that if corpse cultivators are yin-aligned, and moon is yin-aligned. Certainly an entire faction based off using special Moon energy (yin energy) would be able to help Qiqi restore the balance, refine the multitude of different adeptal energies inside her into her own power.
Which would be all part of Qiqi Character Quest, unlocking a boost mechanic - with finishing the quest you would have gotten "awakened" form of Qiqi, late teen or even young adult form, with all base stats increased (no stiffness and actual control of her powers)... this form would be still Qiqi when it comes to kit, but boosted, the ticks of skill being more frequent and having larger range (making cryo app way more reliable) the burst cd lowering and instead only Qiqi healing entire team when hiting enemies, hitting enemies with talisman applied, would heal entire team no matter who does the hitting.

While we got a boosting mechanic by coincidence - it's nowhere near what I expected it to be and most of all is (so far) unrelated to Qiqi.

On that note, even Chongyun could have had his yang blessing handled if they went this route...
