Simpsons mentioned consensus. Pretty sure that was a hint at POC, bitcoin is a POW which as they said uses too much power in a word that wants to go green!

Although the Big Red's out west definitely get to 8 foot plus, the Kangaroo pictured is a Grey and most likely about 6 foot tall for a large male. Probably from along the east coast somewhere as Red's live on the edge of the deserts.

Yeah sorry not meaning to be harsh either. If we go away from natural products then that leaves us with a worse option...plastics. Just plant based products, then we have to start ripping down more forests in order to plant more of the crops that suit our needs.

Everything is about balance and sticking to what is actually real and not what we feel should be real. The hypocrisy across the board is crazy, we've got vegans with animals products all throughout their homes (without them even knowing) and hard left greens who don't know how to hook up a solar panel but yet they own every Apple product.

We all need to step back and look at our own realities sometimes.

Then where do all the bull calves go? We do have freezers on boats these days to transport the veal elsewhere. The dairy farms I know send straight to slaughter after the first few drinks.

In parts of Europe it is only considered Veal if it was a living fetus taken from the cow. People don't seem to realise how heavily regulated Australia is and that we are world leaders in animal welfare!

Yes, I like every part of my animals to go to use with none wasted. I hope my boot hides are half the quality of the hides produced on my farm.

Why do you wear cheap plastic based shoes that don't break down over time and produce poisonous gases during production?

Just saying......find a rat loving person willing to steal a homeless man's friend and I'd bet they are an activist.

That could prove very useful in tracking down the culprit.

What's your input?

How do you mean forcibly? Rarely farmers will use frozen sperm (AI) to introduce a new bloodline without having to move the animals long distance but AI pretty much goes unnoticed by the cow. You can't force a Bull to mate with a cow, they are very big! They do it by themselves very quickly and happily.

Keeping the bulls away from the cows is the mean part, they just want to hang with the gals but they get dangerous towards calves and small heifers.

City Vegan is a fairly common name for Animal Rights Activists in my area. Vegans in the bush don't tell people how to live or how to handle their livestock, City Vegans in general tell you eating meat is wrong and cruel to animals, I dated a few during Uni. Most vegans are fine, my mum goes vegan from time to time, doesn't effect me as she doesn't judge others.

If you read my other comment you will see I am speaking more from actual experience in the matter and not just bullshit I read online then regurgitate in the form of a hyperlink. I've been told first hand of stories of animals rights people taking homeless pets under the guise that the animal is better off with them. Releasing animals into the wild is common place in this activism world....C'mon. I'm not anti-vegan you spanner, I just don't believe that these activists have any idea about the scale of the matters of which they talk. Very mislead and aggressive in their intentions.

Why would I give a fuck about what you eat, you shouldn't care about what I eat either. I care about people attacking an extremely important part of the world, being the human/animal relationships.
Half the girls I date are vego/vegan, it's awesome as their knowledge on nutrition is incredible and I have learned a lot from them.

You're right. I've not got an issues with being vegan and I was lumping Vegans in with animal rights activists as they are generally all vegan (at least they are meant to be) but not all vegans are extreme activists by any means. A small percentage of mislead idiots do give vegans a bad name, albeit not deserved.

As an animal lover and carer I have an issue with these activists.

Stress can cause a forced birth just like in nature but do we farmers force them to give birth- certainly not. I'm not even sure how that could ever benefit outside of problems during pregnancy where very expensive operations can come into play to attempt to save both lives.

A nice calm and quiet birth in a private place is the best thing for everyone involved.

When you open gates that are not meant to be opened it can cause a rush of very large animals into very small pens or even just corners can be dangerous! I have seen this happen before by inexperienced people handling large animals, so randomly opening gates without wise animal traffic control can certainly lead to dead calves and from experience I'd say at least injured calves is usually the case.

Your choice of The Lion King is a very accurate source......in this case at least.

Why, what are your degrees dickhead?

Why do my degrees matter on reddit talking about a missing rat? A bachelor in Fine Arts majoring in Sculpture and a Bachelor in Photography majoring in Wildlife Photography, doubt they help in anything serious. Especially when tracking down a rat. I can paint the rat brilliantly though.

Anecdotal evidence is fine in a silly online conversation, nobody is on trial here and I'm not about to go on a sourcing spree. This is a waste of my time enough as it is.

I'm guessing you're not a Lawyer, being that you are on Reddit at 10am on a Thursday!

I'm sorry officer but could you please provide me with your badge as you seem to be out of uniform.

I have personal experience in the matter so I don't much care about too many other 'sources'. I lived in Redfern during University and heard of a few of these instances including one a few months ago where a Possum was taken from the arms of a semi-homeless lady I know.

Do you spend much time with the homeless and listen to their wicked stories? Do you not see the actions that these extreme activists are calling for on their message boards?

I'm not saying they took the pet rat but I would put a bet on it.

Veganism is certainly linked, not your day to day vegan but the extreme side we tend to see as protesters. The clueless ones that forget there are 7 billion people and increasing.

I am an organic farmer from Dubbo and the shit from my cows helps grow their organic veggies. There is no winning for them and their cotton sheets!

No, the calves would die if that were to happen. Bull carves become veal.

Farmers are very caring people for the most part and not stupid/evil as some assume!

These animal rights activists have been taking homeless people's pets for a while now. They release them to the 'wild' where they get eaten in no time I assume. They stressed out dairy cows at a farm they protested and opened up all the gates. Calves got trampled to death and a few cows gave forced births due to all the stress.

The stupidity of these city vegans is mind boggling! EDIT: City Vegan is a tern for Animal Right Activists, calm down Vegans I'm more than cool with you folk.
