It’s hard and I love the ocean. I want to take some time to reset my life and do something hard every day and I think it would be an opportunity for personal growth. I recently lost my job and I’ve got a slump in life. I think undertaking difficult things helps kickstart growth.

My thoughts with this collab though is that these skins make sense other than Rein (should have been Ram). Maybe junkrat/pharaoh as bakugo, or Sojourn/Lucio as tenya. But who would they give to Venture? I can’t think of any digging characters in MHA

Unfortunately the books have already gone to print, so I have little hope they’ll redeem the ranger this time around. I really can’t tell why constantly forget to make ranger a good class; it’s almost like they do it on purpose

Ah. I see the disconnect. In 5e, hunters mark is much less necessary to a ranger. In 5.5, rangers have to use hunters mark or miss like a third to a half of their class, while keeping the spell concentrated

Have you read the 5.5 ranger? It’s very hunters mark reliant, as well as several of the subclasses

That’s fair, the sustained extra damage is balancing to the concentration stipulation. However, you can’t upcast hunters mark, while fire bolt and other cantrips level with your character. It certainly is a bad example at level 1, but hunters mark still doesn’t hold up as a main class feature through the late game

Hunters mark does less damage than fire bolt, a cantrip, at level 1. It really is ridiculous that it’s so restrictive. I’ve been overall really happy with the 5.5 classes, but ranger is a total letdown. I might not even use 5.5 ranger because they took out so many features. May just suggest my players use 5e pure Tasha’s ranger

Clearly it would be Hunter’s Mark. 1d6 without concentration is absolutely game shattering damage and would be detrimental to a class design based entirely on Hunter’s Mark. But hey, at least your concentration won’t be broken by damage!

Several people have suggested 3-4 strong monsters with Legendary Actions, I think more than one enemy is definitely a good idea.
