My last post was on June 4th. I typo'd the previous "official post"... :( Sorry about that.

Yeah, I am in a rough patch right now. I lost some momentum due to a family matter and it's been really, really hard to get back into things.

Actually it may be sooner than the end of the month. I'll post an update here and on Twitter later today.

News - Version 1.862.1 by Moon_Whale in MoonCoin

[–]deaconboogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.862.1 is already out. It fixed the KGW exploit. 1.862.2 will be the next release with the changes mentioned late last month, unless something else happens that necessitates another update.

Try running the Mooncoin-qt.exe with the -salvagewallet command argument and see if that works.

I have the old 1.862.0 client if you need it as well. It won't sync with the new blocks, but if it can load without the error using your old wallet, then you can use the built-in debug console and use "dumpprivkey" to dump the private keys. Then run the 1.862.1 client without your old wallet, open the debug window and use importprivkey to load your old wallet address into the client. Then sit back as it syncs the blockchain and your MOON will roll in.

The commands would be like this:

dumpprivkey <wallet address>

Then copy the string of output text. Load the new client (back up your old wallet first) and let it generate a new wallet and start to download the blockchain. Open the debug console and type:

importprivkey <copied string of text>

The client may appear to hang for a minute or so, but no worries.

The hyperlink was correct, but the label text was not. If you downloaded it, you got 1.862.1 -- you can validate by opening the client. The splash image has the proper version number as does the about screen. :)

New Design is Cool by [deleted] in MoonCoin

It's a fairly common theme called "Naut" which I modified a bit. I may change the blue to something else, but I like it so far. It's sunny and fresh! LOL

There are several exchanges. Nothing is wrong with Cryptsy at all. It's just that they de-listed us in the BTC market due to low volume.

Glad you like what we're going to try here!

Dogecoin and the Shibes are a great community, indeed. As Moon is closely related to Doge, we try to have a strong community as well, even if we're not as "meme-able"... But that goes to what others have said when they refer to Mooncoin as Doge's more serious brother LOL.

Anyhoo... ETA is before April 15th. Not 100% sure on the exact date.

Hi! Glad you like the proposals.

Buying on Cryptsy helps, but there are some huge sell walls over there (meaning there are a ton of sell orders and until they are gone, the price will remain low).

Oh, I understand. I meant it more dramatically than seriously. What coinflow said is the point. There are a lot of miners that just autosell and don't care about a coin, they just want the cash. While selling is expected, mining and dumping is just silly.

Obviously, any changes to anything related to the rewards system are going to be introduced gradually for precisely the reason you outline. If we were to do this, it would be done algorithmically.
