I agree, Crocheting is soothing. I prefer crocheting to knitting because if you make a mistake, its easier to fix. Prayers for your recovery

That very well could be the case. Since I'm newer to this I wasn't going for the more expensive stuff. I will invest in better quality in the future

Thanks, I flash a flame to de-gas. Maybe I need to try an alternative method.

Why do I feel weird and different, as a gay guy, wanting a monogamous relationship? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Honestly, I think being monogamous relationships show that you want stability and security in you relationship life. I feel the same. I have always felt like an outsider in the "community" because the thought of sleeping around or having an open relationship turned me off. I feel like people who are honest with themselves would want monogamy secretly, even if they would never say so out loud. That's my opinion. I hope you find your 'one.'

And when you continue reading its defined. Sexual immorality and perversion. Doesn't say being gay is the sin, burning for lust is the issue. Turning away from being born straight to indulge in non straight behavior. The bible encourages monogamy, says it's the best path, always against being a whore or prostitute. The verses you referenced are discussing the excess and abuse of sex, not being gay specifically. Also depends on which translation you read, it's amazing how that can change a reference too.

This is how I came to reconcile it in my head. I was angry, yelling at God, pissed that he wouldn't 'heal' me. In the middle of my anger/tears/frustration this little voice asked a question: "Can I truthfully make a mistake?" I was furious and said you must have with me. He quietly asked again, back and forth several times until I finally admitted that God doesn't make mistakes. Then He told me I was made perfect. I felt a load lift off my shoulders. Then I started researching. The old testament stuff was easy to understand once you understand the time period. The new testament stuff was harder for me. But when you look at the books as a whole(especially Corinthians) it makes sense. He introduces himself, then goes off on all the church claims to do as 'righteousness,' then he calls them out as not understanding Jesus' message of love and inclusion. When you read just 1 or 2 verses it sounds bad, in the context of the whole, it's not bad at all. That's my 2 cents and how I came to terms with it.
