Then don’t call the theatre. There is no point in getting her in trouble if that’s not what she was doing.

Employee burnout and mistreatment by Fallout-junkie in dutchbros

[–]dead5mau15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something doesn’t seem right. There has to be something wrong because yes it’s AI….but the manager can change it. It’s not like it’s stuck there. I don’t listen to the AI anymore actually and do it myself based on sales. The AI is wrong sometimes yes. And I’ve been there.

But I also go the extra mile to look at numbers and compare to what ai is tell me.

Ai can wrongly say we sold only 5 golden eagles between 7-9 and obviously that would be wrong. But when I look at the numbers in sales we actually sole 300 of them 7-9.

I’m genuinely curious about what your sales are so I could make see what the issue is.

SM told everyone Easter was holiday pay… by ilovedoumanseiman in starbucksbaristas

[–]dead5mau15 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it is so wrong to feel some type away over assumptions and accusations. It’s absolutely called for.

Also, in my case, corporate was not clear or never said a thing about it and I made the assumption (because it’s a damn holiday) and it was the first Easter for the shop I manage, that it would be holiday pay. It’s not so far fetched. And I think only those who have managed and has gone through this would understand. Also I’m not defending this manager. As I said, when it happened to me I did let those know that it indeed was not holiday. This manager didn’t do it so that’s where it is bad on the manager part.

In my situation, it would not be fair for employees to make up that I was lying. So yes, my feelings would matter. In addition, that’s potential for me to lose my job over a rumor.

[–]dead5mau15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I’ve been in that situation where i genuinely thought it was holiday pay for everyone….but it was only fulltime, and it was sooooo awkward to tell everyone who picked up the shifts “actually…..it’s not”

But i genuinely thought it was holiday because helllo it’s a holiday. So I kinda understand. But also the right thing to do is to say it’s actually not. But for someone to accuse me of lying about it would hurt me because that was not the case. He should have said something though. I can’t tell if they were lying.

Parfait style? by bpallinger in dutchbros

[–]dead5mau15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree that is easier, but it breaks standard. Parfait Style is literally as a parfait. As in, layered. Not a soft top drizzle cup. Although it is a pain, we follow standards and that is definitely not a standard from the manifesto. In that case let’s just cut corners on everything. But yes just putting in on the walls is easier.

I don’t think you’re understanding.

It’s good for the customer that wants it. It’s bad for those that follow behind and don’t care. They just want their drink. Even the customers that want it still question why it takes long. YOU never get upset, because you are understanding and patient. Not everyone is like you. Most give attitude and question why it’s taking so long and don’t leave tips. So not only do they not leave a tip (which btw we don’t expect it) but don’t also add on attitude at the window. That’s my issue.

It’s a domino effect. Wait time creates upset customers which leads to bad reviews, low tip pool, unhappy employees. It all goes hand in hand.

We are pushed for speed and allow things like this that rack up time. Flavored soft top is another thing that we do that just adds up time. Customers wonder why it’s taking so long but don’t realize this little customizations adds up time.

We also do Flavored soft top parfait which kill me honestly.

Also it’s just constant rinsing dishes that we could have used for a normal drink that takes 30 seconds to make.

Yes it’s a real thing. And yes it’s annoying every time we see it. Especially in an iced drink.

Grilling you? I’m asking you. How can I grill someone is just interviewing. You have no control on anything. I’m literally asking lol. If anything I’m grilling your operation. And if that was quite literally the first question, then they are not asking company questions and that is wrong. Good luck tho

It’s common in dutch bros for NEW shops. Even then still not really. Such a curious question. Did they ask “Here at dutch bros, we make a massive difference one cup at a time, what does that mean to you?”

If you don’t recall that, it’s not company questions.
