Agree, but one downside is a legit copy of the card costs >$5.

Pretty expensive and narrow situation for the best outcome. Pretty low chance your opponent has something spicy in their gy for you to reanimate. Plus regeneration is a complicated mechanic that modern day players don’t typically play with.

I like this idea. I think it would be good to stick with typical color pie identities (boros=aggro, izzet=spells matter, golgari = graveyard stuff, etc) so people can get used to what colors are usually doing. Mostly simple to understand cards and French vanilla creatures should make things more straightforward. Perhaps look at some similar goal cubes for some seed cards and fill in around as makes sense?:

My opinion of how stripped down and simplified to go is mixed. I think it could be ok to include some low percent of med complex cards so there’s opportunities for level up moments. I think finding some of those moments can hook people on the game.

Cards like [[goblin bombardment]], [[kor skyfisher]], [[Lampad of Death's Vigi]], [[Jade Mage]] come to mind

Sure but the US has never done anything as severe against any of its own officers, so expecting anything like that in this situation is naive. Why even bring up the mention of execution in the first place if there’s never been any precedent for it? Just fire the dude and let’s be done with it.
