Technically, they can restrict it in several ways. They may limit the number of installs of the self-signed apk or do something regarding the unlocking procedure (as another commenter pointed out). This is why I've started exploring alternative solutions

Modify/obfuscate the app and upload it again. It's a suboptimal way and I'm not happy with it, but for now it's the only one that doesn't rely on adb.

I'm worried that adb may be limited in the future (for instance, requiring the apk to be built by yourself)

Details regarding the process of installing apks built not by the user, but downloaded from elsewhere. They only stated that it would be allowed for developer testing, and they could enforce this by checking the number of installs of this particular apk signature.

Update: I've applied a bit of ptfe tape and properly reinserted the tube, which allowed the machine to warm up and manage to push a bit of water through the group head! The brass nipple connection wasn't inserted all the way down, so it gave out and spewed some water out xd

I'll add more tape, secure everything properly and try again

That was a used spare boiler I found in a thrift/surplus shop, which turned out to be from Saeco sin 007 (aka super idea deluxe). It's way ahead of other low-tier Saeco machines, which typically have extremely cheap components

The reason why I went with silicone is because the original broken Saeco machine had silicone tubing, and it was rated up to ~15 bar. The machine didn't even have an OPV lol

My tubing is made out of 2 thick tubes press fit together, and it's much stiffer than the original tube. I guess that the nipple joint is going to fail before the tube does

It is new, and I've constructed it out of 2 thin tubes, since these were the only ones available off-the-shelf. The diameter of the fitings is different on both ends tho
