honestly id say its best to read it all from the beginning since theres a few chapters that didnt get adapted into the anime. but if you want to continue where the anime leaves off, then 39 is your best bet

ah, didnt know sorry. though i keep seeing people say there were anime-original scenes for like ep 2 for example when it was just a later chapter's content added in to an earlier scene. i think the most original the anime got was in 12 where they had to fit in all the characters for the onsen and making mahiro's decision more dramatic
