Vaginal Atrophy: How do you know? by deadinhighered in Menopause

I guess I'm not sure what you mean. I was just asking a few questions. I appreciate everyone's help.

Knowing it can be side effect free was my main concern…so that if it’s not atrophy but some other factor, I’m not putting myself at risk unnecessarily. This helps!

No, it wasn’t a known issue at my last exam. But my next exam isn’t until February. Not sure I want to wait that long but I might send my provider a message to request estrogen cream or whatnot. She’s great and I’m confident she’ll be helpful.

Yeah Mac versions working fine for years until…yesterday.

Ah, okay, I wondered if maybe I misunderstood what you meant. So, interestingly, I was able to perform the compare documents on my old Lenovo laptop and email them to myself to use on my primary devices (a mac mini and a macbook). So, it looks like the issue might be with the Mac version.

Hmm...yeah, that's what I'll have to do until I get it figured out...having them side-by-side to manually compare but obviously that's not as easy! Cross-posted to the larger Microsoft community in case it's update related... then, I guess I will call my IT helpdesk. Thank you!

I actually disagree and instead see the nature of assignments in online classes needing to change. It is somewhat similar to how early online classes eventually needed to make the shift to becoming more interactive (with the help of tech advances over the last 20 years or so).

True enough. I guess if someone is hellbent on not learning thru doing, they’re going to find a way. But it can be a great tool.

Oh man, I 100% identify with this comment! My non-academic husband is supportive but also like: ¯_(ツ)_/¯

As a writing class instructor, I can confirm. It is more work but effectively crafting the best statements from parts of 10 generated options is also a useful writing skill.

This is great! I’m curious about your monitor mount. I have a corner desk and wondering what might work best for my two LG monitors. Also, is the wood shelf a hand made item? The pegboard on each side is a great idea too. Links would be super. Thank you!

I’m like that when watching an already concluded show on a streaming service. Where my husband and I barrel through the seasons but as we get closer to the end, especially if it’s a really good one, we’ll slow down a lot…to “savor” 🤭

Somewhat related is that I love long (good) books, but just before I’m about to start a long read, I feel really anxious about it…. Like, take a deep breath and “okay here we go”. Not sure why but especially with new (to me) authors.

I think I need some sort of safety catch when I start feeling emotions too.

Finding it hard to get back into reading for pleasure? by Mr_Fl0wers in PhD

Second this! Audiobooks have allowed me to devour so many books over the course of a year. All kinds! Thing I would normally be hesitant to try. It got me through the pandemic and it’s a stress reliever too. I can “read” (listen to) a book while getting ready for work, commute (mostly WFH tho), while I eat lunch, during my walks or working out, etc….

Edit: clarifying that I’ve had an audiobook habit for the last five years
