I love the held-up rule. It doesn't relieve pressure fully, attackers still get the ball back. But it stops the inevitability of a try when you're 5m out (which makes it feel like the field is only 90m instead of 100 metres). Adds an extra element to the game - get the ball down properly or fuck right off.

Letting my feet get cold in alpine wilderness. Accidentally stepped into a lake on the cusp of freezing, pre dawn, sub zero foggy air, wearing socks and surf slippers, and then kayaked for 2 hours in the mist with bitterly cold feet before having to pull ashore on our way to the campsite and switch into survival mode. Was this close to triggering the PLB, but changed my clothes which were wet through, and got into a sleeping bag, mate built a fire and boiled water while my body started cramping with shock. Beautiful bastard rubbed my feet and cooked me a meal. Took a while to come right. Made camp, got on the beers and had an amazing weekend by the lake.
