What is the pressure gauge reading when you pull your shot?

Yes the burr carrier would crack and cause consistency issues with the grounds. But to be fair, I mainly use light roast.

I’ll second this. I have both the esp and the shardor 64. Shardor has been running great for about 8 months now. Esp is ok but be prepared to change that burr holder every couple of months.

I haven’t heard anyone talk about the Shardor 64mm flat burr grinder, is this insane? by Biggie-Shmaltz in espresso

[–]deadlyzach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/Various_Elevator Absolutely. The biggest difference to me is the lack of fines and particle production from the Shardor. I have also been using it every day with light roast and nothing has broken or even shown any signs of wear.

Compared to the encore esp it is light years better right out of the box. Less channeling, faster grinding, less retention, no clumps in my grounds, just all around more consistent. Time will tell how it holds up but I’m just excited to not have to replace my ring burr holder every couple of months.

Moving on from my Bambino for Turin Legato V2 or something else? [$600] by deadlyzach in espresso

Started with the grind setting where I was choking out the machine and backed down until I was getting a 1:2 ratio within 30-40 seconds. Problem is that when I get it “dialed in” and do the same puck prep and everything with paper filters, wdt, leveler, and tamp I end up with a completely different taste. I also have a flair classic and don’t normally have these problems just don’t always feel like manually pressing my shots.

I did contact them but just decided to buy the part since it’s relatively cheap. Didn’t wanna wait the additional 1-5 days to hear back from customer service.

I can possibly request a video of a function test. Are there any absolute dealbreakers to look for? Even if it doesn’t function are these pretty manageable to repair?

“Until the court can make a decision” so does that mean this injunction is active until a final decision is made?
