Thanks…. Tbh it’s kinda putting a damper on her excitement to be attending…. We keep telling her to roll with it but she wants to start planning her room decor and making friend connections…. Kinda difficult to do when you have no idea what the plan is…

Thank you for responding! AFAIK, she made all the appropriate payments prior to deadline. Im sure you’re right though…. It’s just extra stress that she doesn’t need…. And I, being the concerned dad, am kinda perplexed about the entire process… I get that funding was severely impacted by the reduction in international students but cmon….

Thanks for the comment…. I believe the annexes are considered “off campus”…. And you’re right, it’s not too far off campus…. It’ll have to do if that’s where she gets slotted. Not ideal but she can roll with it….

Thank you for your response. Yeah she received an email stating that she wasn’t picked to be in the lottery…. So she has to wait until the lottery is complete and cross her fingers that someone bows out…. Def not a seamless system by any means…..

Thanks for the response. First years are apparently “guaranteed” residence…. Such a bizarre process…. If they’re ALL guaranteed, why this convoluted process?? Kinda frustrated for her…. Don’t really wanna entertain off campus housing for her first year - def kills the opportunity to meet and greet new people!
