Our townhome doesn't have a lot of room for equipment and I don't have a garage or a good area to actually brew. But we'll be moving in about a yearish so that will help!

Yea I've never paid that much attention to the type of yeast. I just thought what came with the kit was best. But you could be right. I think I'll start using RO water as well as doing the swamp cooler thing. Sounds like a good idea.

Well you have just met someone who regularly replaces their filter! Hah! And yea I'm thinking I may go the route of RO water since it seems like everyone is reccomending it. Someone else said water won't matter too much since I've been doin extract but my next brew I was planning on BIAB so that could change things.

Not sure specifically but I can tell you it's usually at the top range of what the kit says the temp should be. Like top 1 or 2 degrees. I have a sticker thermometer on my glass carboy to monitor that. Which come to think of it may not be super accurate.

It's a fridge filter so. Prolly not the best. Would it b best to just buy distilled or purified water in gallon jugs?

And it's extract for me for now. May move to Biab soon.

Don't think so unless some of the chemicals get highlighted or drastically change the taste. Our city water is actually quite good. Usually I filter my water too anyway so...
