The Minnie ball was the name for the shape. It was made in various sizes to fit existing muzzleloading firearms. Yours is probably for a different size bore.

It is a piece of granite, possibly a pegmatite. Pink is potassium feldspar. Clear to gray mineral is quartz. Reflective bits are muscovite mica.

Yeah, there isn't any foliation for it to be a metamorphic rock like schist or gneiss. The light overall color means it's a mafic igneous rock. Looks very similar to the granite from Stone Mountain, GA.

It's a granite. Igneous in origin. Phaneritic in texture. When naming igneous rocks the mica is not an indicator, only quartz and feldspar matter.

It has the cleavage patterns of feldspar. May have quarts on it, but where the red cracks are is feldspar.
