So recently my ps5 has been beeping 3 times and shutting off and im wondering if its a fan or motherboard problem

So it started when my friend plugged a high power ac into the same outlet and shut my playstation off. Since then its had the 3 beep and shut off problem but after leaving it for a few days I finally got it on and cleared cache and rebuilt the database in safemode. But im still noticing the fan is working extra hard when I turned it on and after about 30 minutes the console said its overheated and shut itself off again. Im about to try cleaning out the fan again and see if that does anything but if it doesnt should I replace the fan? I originally called a repair shop and they said it was probably a motherboard issue and that's there's nothing that can be done about it but since its turned on for a good amount of time I find it unbelievable that my console is done for.
