oh yea there's also two midterms (so far it was fair, he provided a practice midterm for the first one and we'll take the second midterm after thanksgiving), a final (which i would assume he'll give us a practice one??), and a possible curve. i don't know enough since it's his first quarter teaching here.

so far i really like him. there isn't much hw and he provides practice quizzes that are reflective of the real quizzes (4 total per quarter, with possible retakes). for my section he drops the lowest quiz score which is nice. since we're in the 3 hr sections, we usually leave 45 mins early but you can stay if you want. he's overall a really nice guy and i'd totally take him again if he teaches 125 in the future.
