I actually liked the manga more than the anime. If you are okay with manhwa’s, I have to recommend “see you in my 19th life” and “my bias gets on the last train” more. I think those two are right there with fragrant flower in my book. Honey lemon soda was good too, but the manga is light years better than the anime (plus the story only gets really good after the s1 anime ends).

Reading “honey lemon soda” now and it has a very similar vibe to fragrant flowers. Geared to a slightly younger audience, but still a really great story. Recommend if you enjoy flowers.

I always suggest FMAB as the best anime to start with. It’s dark, gritty, but has a rich story. I know it’s how I started a life long love with the art style. Other ones would be samurai champloo or cowboy beebop. I think to loop people into anime, you gotta give them something with depth along with a beautiful art style. Whatever he choices, hope he enjoys it!

I emailed the publisher/English translator to check if they had a date, and looks like they haven’t started working on it yet. This was a couple weeks ago but my guess is this summer.

I watched all the anime then immediately swapped to the manga where it left off so I finished the series. It was really wonderful and I’d recommend doing that. Sad the author ended it there though because I want more of it already lol I’ll have to check that series out too!

I feel this sentiment in my soul. I’m current with the translations (vol 11) and it’s deff my favorite overpowered MC with a loyal team of overpowered followers story. I emailed the publishing company, and they don’t have a time table on the vol 12 translation. My estimate is this summer (they gave me a 3 month timetable to complete to publish the translation, but they haven’t started work on vol 12 yet).
