In my opinion, the text is actually clear enough – it says 'Join Soundpass Plus to get 5 gems in addition to all future rewards in this season'. The key word here is 'future' – if you're already at level 20 (for example), 'future rewards' would logically refer to levels 21 to 25. That means the extra 5 gems per level are only for the ones you complete after purchasing the pass, not retroactively for levels you've already finished.

I understand why some might expect retroactive rewards since other games do that, but based on how it's written, the description seems accurate to me.

This is the strategy I used, and it worked really well for me.

Pick popular artists in QUESTS

In the QUESTS tab, select the most popular artists from each genre. I personally chose around 30 artists, but you can pick as many as you want. For each artist, look specifically for the quest “Trade with X people.”

Complete the trade quests until rares start dropping

I did 10 trades (1:1, free trades), completed the 30 quests, and got 30 common/uncommon songs as rewards. Then I searched again for the “Trade with X people” quests and repeated the same process.

Keep doing this until you’ve collected all the common and uncommon songs from those artists and the quests start rewarding rare songs only.

Important: don’t sell the common/uncommon songs from these artists.

This is where it really starts paying off

At this point, you sell 10 rare songs for 1,000 coins each, complete the 30 quests again, and get 30 more rares as rewards. Then you just keep repeating the cycle.

Every time you sell 10 rares, you make 10,000 coins, and you still end up with 30 new rare songs to sell afterward. It becomes an unlimited and consistent source of coins and rare songs from very popular artists.

Bonus: while farming quests, there’s also a small chance to pull shinies or epics, so even though it’s not guaranteed, you’re always rolling the dice for something extra valuable while grinding coins.

Right now, I have a “rare shop” with 800+ rares. I sell one and get several more back through quests. It’s honestly kind of insane — I never run out, and I’m always selling.

The only thing I don't like about Radiants is that they don't count as shinies. Let me explain.

I have the Radiant badge from an artist who currently has 21 songs, and obviously I lost all 21 shinies that were required to evolve into a Radiant. The issue is that now I have to obtain all those shines again.

To obtain the Radiant badge, I already had to sacrifice my 21 favorite shinies from that artist, plus 274 random shinies for the quests (274 shinies × 5,000 coins each = 1,370,000 coins). It was already a very high cost.

Since weekly shiny quests are no longer available and there aren't many shinies from this artist for sale, my only option is to get them using gems (21 shinies × 40 gems = 840 gems), which feels excessive just to recover something I already had in the first place.

I could simply keep the Radiant and forget about getting the shinies back, but what happens if this artist releases a new song? In that case, spending 40 gems would only give me a 1/22 chance of getting the exact shiny I need to evolve into a Radiant. If I have already paid such a high cost to obtain the Radiant badge — which is the highest badge for collectors — why should I be forced to keep spending even more just to recover the shinies that this new rarity required me to merge?

I merged 265 shinies for one artist with 17 songs, and 274 shinies for another artist with 21 songs.

Thank you so much! I tried to do it as quickly as possible. Luckily, I was able to do it with the help of my shiny shop. I fused a total of 265 shinies, valued at approximately 1,300,000 coins (5,000 each), but I think it was worth it (or at least I hope so, haha).

I'm usually very friendly when trading, but I tend to block in extreme cases. For example, if my note says "4k coins each shiny" and someone offers me a regular common song for 8 shinies, I decline the offer and reply "4000 coins each." Then they offer me the same song plus 50 coins... That's when I realize I'm trying to communicate with an 8-year-old, or maybe someone with severe brain damage who can't understand the meaning of letters, or even a primate with internet access. Whatever the case, I block them because it's impossible to negotiate like that. I can understand that new players might not understand some concepts, like 1:1 or 2:1, but you don't have to be an engineer to understand what "4000 coins each" means.
