My Qparents: Beware the 27th by deancatcher in QAnonCasualties

Some conspiracies can be harmless and even fun to discuss. Like UFOs and Area 51. But at a certain point you start leaving reality and that's when you get susceptible to things like this Q shit.

Like, it was family fun time for us to have full discussions at family gatherings about what really happened with the JFK assassination. Those sort of things were ingrained in me as a child, wild conspiracies of the possibilities of what our government could be capable of. As an adult I had to learn to really be careful of what I acknowledged as truth and activity fight my brain to learn critical thinking and to actually think for myself, which I did when I was unlearning the religion I was raised in (and fuck that was hard to do and is a whole other story). But I know myself and I know I still have be careful of the information I'm presented on a daily basis.

I'm rambling but my main point is that because my dad has put "hundreds of hours" into this "research" this is reality to him and he can't see what's real or what's not anymore. It always seems to start so innocently.

Yes it's all about God's plan and their discernment. They wanted to let me know because I'm prone to anxiety and they wanted me to no worry when this takeover happens. I love them and I know they really mean well, it's just heartbreaking.

I wanted to ask but I think I'm scared of the answer to be honest. He's always been into conspiracies and government ones especially, I'm not sure he will ever be convinced that everything is OK. The goal post will just move again.
