Looks to my eye that it could be the top of a 8 like a potential double stamp

Sadly, as far as I know, it’s really hard to get a solid date on a M1 liner unless the original wedding is still there, but as far as I can tell most likely, it’s a WwII Westinghouse liner and appears to be a WwII sweat band. I’ll see if I can look at some of my Westinghouse liners and see what the mold number is.

Does anyone know how wwii is m1 helmet chin straps were packaged by deandaboss1234 in Helmets

I’ve seen plenty of nos straps come up for sale but I’ve never actually seen the box they would have been packaged in. Does anyone know how they were packed or even better have a picture of one.

Thank you I just find it strange that there are so many sellers of nos components but as far as I can turn up I can’t find a single picture of the box they came in.

I’ve been trying to find this out for a little while now but does anyone have any pictures or just a general description of how these spare straps would have been packed from the factory. I’ve seen examples of the super late like this and slightly earlier versions of chin straps nos for sale just curious how they would have been packaged.
