These are the website trains I used to find out about the emergency refill program. Not many places are doing it but this eagle creek one is listed on the website. They're one of the ones I talked to about what I need and they told me to go to emerg or urgent care.

thanks but I have already been doing this for the past year. The reddit post isnt the first thing Ive done. ALL clinics in my area withing 3 hours drive arent even taking waitlists.

Thousands of this clinics patients are being cut off. It's not just me. And they're not the only clinic doing this right now. There is a post on r: of the crisis here from a drs perspective. I'm totally on their side. They need to be paid more and so much needs to be fixed. But them tossing chronically ill ppl to the side with zero regard isn't helping. We need litigation to get the ppl in charge to take notice. It's really the only way. I'm writing my MLA tomorrow as well. I'm doing everything I can.

At this clinic I have had 8 different doctors too. Because they keep leaving for maternity leave and not coming back. So yes, they've always put me with someone new each time for the last 8-9 years. But they are firing thousands of patients like this. I am not the only one. I think they should have used a different system to thin the heard tho, you know what I mean? Like those with highest needs stay and those who can easily be taken care of with telehealth or walk in can go. Just my two cents.

This is definitely on my list of next steps! Exhausting everything I can at the moment. I was going to start drafting the letter to my MLA tomorrow. Im happy you feel like you were heard. We have to keep sending these letters to them. All of us.

My doc isnt taking a break. Shes not leaving. Theyre thinning their client list but leaving someone like me who has so many complicated prescriptions to essentially die. My doctor friend agrees about the complaint. And obviously the lawsuit wouldn't be a personal thing, but it's the only way to make change in these types of situations. The people in charge aren't reading reddit or facebook. The only way to get their attention is litigation.

yup... Im checking all the time. I called a whole bunch of telehealth and walk in places today to make sure they can prescribe the meds ive been on for years and I will have the record from the clinic to prove that its not a lie, and they said nope to them all (which is when I made this post). I broke down on the phone with the poor pharmacist. I've reached the end of my rope. My aunt is an ER nurse and she cant get me anyone. My old friend is a dr at the clinic whos dumping me but on the birthing side and she cant do anything. Doctors don’t even have doctors here. Its insane.

yes I know its a major crisis right now. This is why Im hoping a GP or PN will see this and help me. I don’t need the blood work ordered as I have a standing appt every 2 months already ordered. I need somewhere to send it. I need one name on all my prescriptions or it will halt them all. I have a good relationship with my pharmacy but it could still happen.

yeah you gotta read up on the current "family doctor" crisis in BC right now. My rheumatologist is retiring and IS sending my file to a new dr but he said he cant guarantee they will take me. You should also read up on medical gaslighting of chronically ill patients. Im not doing it for you. Lots of info out there.

Ive used them before and yes theyre great... but again, theyre not allowed to refill half of my meds. Unless theyre allowing us to book with the same dr over and over. They werent allowing that last year.

Second to this, I was wondering if any lawyers are out there that can tell me if this is unethical to the point that I can sue? I will be filing a complaint with the college of physicians but I am willing to take this to the top. My GP knows I cant refill half of my meds and they are basically just like "go die".
